    Not worth the time or money to visit. The forest and surrounding area that the tower is located in is very bland, if you're hoping for a stunning vista this is not the place to visit. To reach the tower you walk along some raised wooden boardwalks, these are rather narrow. So if you have elderly people infront of you it's going to take quite some time to get there and back. Save the money and go visit Møns klint instead, it's free and one of the most beautiful places Denmark has to offer.

    4 years later, the color has already started to oxidize. Funny how we talk about being "climate positive" and reducing car driving, but we can order a bridge to be built on the other side of the world and shipped here. As if there aren't any shipyards in Sweden or Finland.

    You may have Swedish citizenship, but you're not Swedish ethnically. You're a Pakistani with a Swedish passport living in Sweden.

    • @Elenrai
      @Elenrai 7 місяців тому

      Yep, you can become Danish but you cannot become a Dane, nor does a citizenship confer membership of the wider kin-groups and their social benefits. I love how outsiders always struggle with our ways before demanding we adapt our identity :(

    • @Leif208
      @Leif208 7 місяців тому

      @@Elenrai You're correct. There's more to being Scandinavian than citizenship. The kinship you mentioned is very true. Since they're not seen as kin by Scandinavians (and will always be seen by them as a foreigner), even if they're treated equally under the law, they develop an inferiority complex. But you can't force people to accept you that way. If you can't force Scandinavians to give you a Scandinavian identity, then you'll try to destroy Scandinavian identity. And if there's no longer such a think as Scandinavian identity, then there's no obstacle to your being accepted.

    • @Leif208
      @Leif208 6 місяців тому

      @HiddenHistory45 I know. I believe the intent is to remove all sense of national and ethnic identity so that you'll all be easier to control and rule over. But at least you still have a chance to prevent it. Non Nordic immigration to Iceland is still relatively low compared to other European countries (including Scandinavia). So many people are wanting to immigrate to Iceland, now, because it's seen as very "rich" and relatively low crime, etc. What they don't appreciate is that Iceland was once not rich economically (climate, volcanoes, and your relative isolation from the rest of Europe) but those hardships resulted in a very hard working, resilient, and civic minded people (you work together for the good of society rather than just being self-interested only). If you allow too much immigration of non Nordics, eventually you'll have the same problems we have in the US. Multi ethnic societies do not work well (unless there is a common and extremely strong religion, which is not a reality right now), because society becomes fractured and there isn't the benefit of kinship motivated civic-mindedness. Eventually, you'll have minorities who won't fit in, and start demanded special treatment at the benefit of native Icelanders. I'm a Scandinavian American and that's exactly the situation we have here (the US was once, basically a western European ethno state but not any more). As a side note, as a Scandinavian American, we're a dying breed. We're only about 1% of the population (of varying percentages) and in probably 2 or 3 generations from now, probably won't exist as a distinct identity anymore. Which is one reason why we Scandinavian Americans at least want the home countries to survive and keep your identity. Good luck.

    • @xnyph8490
      @xnyph8490 2 місяці тому

      I think It would be possible for Me, an American, with Scandinavian heritage, to re-migrate back to Sweden, marry, have kids, and learn the language and culture in one generation, and then, it would be, as if nothing had changed. Heritage matters.

    • @Leif208
      @Leif208 2 місяці тому

      @@xnyph8490 I agree, for the reason you stated. Although there would likely be a little adaptation for us (I'm a Scandinavian American too, whose family comes from a Scandinavian settled community, but we're probably considered culturally a little "old-fashioned" compared to modern Scandinavians. We're like Scandinavians from 100 years ago). Your kids will likely be completely integrated and your grandchildren would likely not even be aware. On the other hand, non Nordic immigrants, especially Muslims, would still be considered foreign outsiders (by natives and by themselves) even past the 3rd and 4th generations (and probably, forever). There are still immigrant groups in some nations who still consider themselves outsiders, after hundreds of years. When you see yourself as not part of a community, some will take advantage of that community, no matter the consequence to that community. Organized crime, in Scandinavia (and all of Europe) is mostly by non natives, even if they were born there. I've heard them say that they don't care about the European country they happen to reside. They just care about themselves and what they can get out of the society. Ethnic natives don't feel this way because they consider themselves as part of a larger "family" (that's all race or ethnicity is, anyway. It's just a large extended family). Frankly, it's a recipe for future civil war. A couple years ago, several French military leaders, sent a communication to the French government stating that unless something changes, due to all the Muslim immigrants, a future French civil war (like that in the Balkans) is unavoidable.

    We need to shift towards a more sustainable and inclusive economic model that takes into account the well-being of both people and the planet. As a WWF Baltic Sea sponsor, I have seen firsthand the devastating effects of pollution and overexploitation on the delicate ecosystem of the Baltic Sea. It is crucial that we take action now to protect this vital body of water and its inhabitants. This calendar serves as a daily reminder of the urgent need for environmental conservation and sustainable practices. It is a small but powerful tool in raising awareness and inspiring change. My passion for the environment goes beyond just being a WWF Baltic Sea sponsor. I have always been deeply concerned about the state of our planet and the impact of human activities on it. This concern led me to take a university course focused on environmental protection, where I delved into research and learned about the various issues facing our planet. It was during this course that I realized the pressing need for a shift in our mindset and actions towards the environment. We often hear about the importance of economic growth, but at what cost? Our constant pursuit of economic growth has led to the exploitation and depletion of natural resources, resulting in irreversible damage to our planet. We need to shift our focus to economic sustainability, where we prioritize the well-being of both people and the planet. This means finding a balance between economic development and environmental conservation. In addition to this, I strongly believe that we need to work towards a more equitable distribution of resources. It is unacceptable that in today's world, there are still people living in poverty and lacking access to basic necessities. The current systems of Fordism and capitalism have only exacerbated this issue, creating income inequality and further damaging the environment. We need to move towards a more inclusive economic model that considers the needs of all individuals and ensures a decent standard of living for everyone. As a WWF Baltic Sea sponsor, I have seen the devastating effects of pollution and overexploitation on the delicate ecosystem of the Baltic Sea. This body of water is home to a diverse array of species and is a vital part of our planet's ecosystem. It is our responsibility to protect and preserve it for future generations. This calendar serves as a daily reminder of the urgent need for environmental conservation and sustainable practices. Each month, it showcases the beauty of the Baltic Sea while also highlighting the threats it faces. It is a small but powerful tool in raising awareness and inspiring change. In conclusion, I am proud to be a WWF Baltic Sea sponsor and to be part of an organization that is dedicated to protecting our planet's precious resources. We all have a role to play in environmental conservation, whether it's through small daily actions or advocating for larger systemic changes. I urge everyone to join in this effort and work towards a more sustainable and equitable future for our planet. Let's take inspiration from this calendar and make a positive impact on the environment in our own unique ways.❤
