New Zealand Cricket - A Lap of the Basin Reserve in Wellington - 4K Slow TV - Feb 2021
The Basin Reserve in Wellington is always a highlight of my trips to New Zealand. Located at the foot of Mount Victoria, the Basin is the oldest test cricket ground in the country.
The picturesque setting and grassy banks make for a lovely day out whether or not you are into the cricket - if you are a fan, then you can enjoy many a weekend watching the Wellington Firebirds, one of New Zealand's leading first-class teams.
This footage was taken in February 2021 at the Super Smash T20 Finals between the Wellington Firebirds and the Canterbury Kings.

The Wellington waterfront is one of my favourite places to spend a lazy Sunday. Despite being the most remote capital city in the world, it is always teeming with activity and has a great buzz. In the midst of the global pandemic, I have been fortunate to make it into New Zealand and experience normality after 11 months in Germany and the UK. And I hope that others are free to travel here again...
# Do you know this truth? 1. The clouds of the sky from all over the world are coming down to the earth more and more every day. 2. What was the weather and water temperatures...surprised it gets that warm there.
Coldest night of the year here got down to 4 degrees Celsius this past winter. Almost never goes above 30 degrees Celsius. Water temperature varies from about 11 degrees Celsius in middle of winter, to about 20 degrees in middle of summer.

I do this walk to the beach just about every calm dry day, and for a dip in the sea at the end of the walk from spring-autumn. Love it. It's hard for me to ever imagine wanting to return to my native UK to live.
I have been toying with the idea for a few months but I would have to wait for the rabbit to die before I go as I found out you can’t bring them into the country from England.
@@HulaBeulah sheez girl, why would you want to bring a rabbit lol, we have millions of the bloody things here in the South Island, cant get rid of them, they use to have a bunny shoot quite often.
