Oh wow absolutely amazing 😻 thoroughly enjoyed the dreamy intro and soft vocals with the instrumental sounds. Beautiful song and soft acoustic. Love it ❤
One of my fav live TC songs. Wen new album?
I have never been this calm in my entire life.
One of the best live sessions of our time.
The Beatles in 1967: All we need is love, love is all we need The Contortionist 50 years later: When will we rediscover, love is all we need
Love is all we need. Indeed.
what a wonderful and peaceful world we could all live in if people could only realize Love is the only thing that will bring us together <3 Love you brother
The awesomeness of Mike's vocals and the band playing their respective instruments in this version of the song is what makes them them. They could "sit down and jam" and we should all be so lucky to hear the 45 mins-ish of that magical time, just sayin.
That's exactly how I felt when I got to see them live last year, especially during the source. Lucky. Their music is cathartic in an an ancient way, what a time to be alive 💥
The precision of their musicianship never ceases to utterly amaze me, think of all the elements that are required to combine the shear beauty of this and all their songs, just sayin..
Have this on a loop today. Love the message. Love the music. Love the voice. Love the spirit.
Absolutely magnificent. A Majestical musical journey for the soul. 🌌
Sublime
That song makes me cry... every time and if feels wonderful.
capolavoro
2020, and still the voice of michael breaks my heart. Thanks for this song the contortionist
Powerful song
Respect my friend
Conscious woke masters.
Same level as Pink Floyd or Radiohead
Radiohead 👍 Atoms for peace is good too
Awe man i want one of those acoustic 7 string ibanez so bad
Saw these guys twice now and I must say that not only do they possess skill and talent but from the perspective of an audience member they are very nice . They come off like just normal every day dudes and not shitty rock stars at all .
I got to meet them all once, they're all really sweet. Very down-to-earth people.
Help me what are the lyrics like not at the end of the song but the first half?
5:47 the signature Maynard sneer
absolute brilliance!
this sounds like it could be in the Nier OST
that voice...
Compositions and soundscapes pure genius smh
and Lessard's fkn voice <3
Buena rola te llega directo al corazón
I'm speechless. Just wow.
No matter how hard a time I'm having, the high note at 3:15 makes everything okay
I rarely ever say this about male vocalists but he has a beautiful fucking voice.
Almost brings you to tears 😢😭
These keyboards with this melody, rhythm and these awesome vocals is all we need
Dabs for everyone
So many memories associated with this one... just really one of their best performances to date! Thanks for sharing!
This is my end of the world song.
This kind of music makes me alive.
Rediscovered with no pun intended to what has been discovered. In the third dimension. You are the eye that looks, the sound that speaks, and feeling that breezes.
Anyone found their lost keys?
Tool?

aaaayyyyy, yeh byoi
Well played
Vocals 5:02 to 5:22
Really frustrated I didn't get to witness Mike belt out that part around 5:08
The visuals start later in the video. You see him singing!
I've got the vinyl for this baby and every time this song comes on it's like a calm wave that washes over me introducing me to the rediscovered tracks. Language means so much to me and the rediscovered tracks are all of that meaning distilled into the tracks. I love the calm, airiness of this track in particular. The Source regular is great as an opener to the album and it feels very big despite also being one of the softer tracks. What the rediscovered version lacks in scale, it makes up for with a Debussy like endless quality. The guitars all linger with light notes and extended distorted tones, the fUCKING KEYS have a brilliant and bright echo that never fully stops. Even as the song comes to a close they're the last thing you hear. I see people say they weren't ready for the song to be over when it ended and I get the same feeling every time I listen. Like it could just go on forever and ever and I'd be okay to just drift.
How did you get the rediscovered vinyl??
I agree 100%...the rediscovered tracks truly move me and take me to a place of peace. The most underrated prog band on the planet. Everyone of these guys r excellent and this band will only get better, as they've proven already, n my opinion
Eargasms abound
That "Siberian Post Office at Night" patch from omnisphere!! I knew I recognized that, it comes in at 0:18
Finally, a band for people who are fans of Opeth, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, and want to just cut to the chase and hear all three blended into one. Seriously love finding these guys, great stuff.
Oof. Right in the feels. So damn good.
5:39 what is that?
ebow
Anyone know what ebow that is?
can someone tell me the meaning behind this song?
It's called the Source because in esoteric and occult and new age philosophy, the phrase refers to what other people know to be God. Essentially the Source of all Things. Love is the highest frequency and emotional state in the universe and that old cliche adage "love makes the world go round" is in fact an ancient idea. Literally all we need is love in our lives to transcend and live more richer lives. Not romantic love necessarily but love in general.
Song starts at 1:36
No song starts at 0:00
Wow this song makes me so nostalgic
Nolan V Nostalgic?? What? The original version of this song is from 2014 and this version is from 2015. It hasn't even been a full 3 years yet since this came out dude....
@@returntoearth2556 I think it's about the feelings it evocates, or maybe it brings good memories to him, let him experience whatever, one does not listen The contortionist, one experiences them
Could someone please tell me what that first piano chord progression is?
Sounds like F G Am G on a guitar at least, but it shows him playing it reasonably clearly on video if you have a piano...
Gb7 Ab7 Bbm7 Ab7 I think
My bad, my guitar is down tuned and I forgot about it lol It should be F7 G7 Am7 G7
FEELSGOODMAN 5:48
how have 14 thousand only seen this? sad.. such pure talent seen these guys live 4 times and everytime was incredible.
What a incredible drummer., beautiful swiss army triplets 3:46
