This is my school and they don’t know how to throw a flag at the same time and one of the color guard kids was my friend until they started spreading rumors
THATS ME
hope to see yall again next year 🥳
@@AlexSharpe0910 I’m graduating 😔 Maybe my band will come back though!! Idk how likely it is, since we were like 4-5 hours away, but y’all’s comp was super well run so I could totally see it!
Also in this band, thanks for posting!! Awesome recording of the show :) -snare
@@crow3879 No problem!! I loved your show, and I’m glad it’s a good recording for y’all :))
Thank you for sharing!!! - Contra line
@@tclaunchpad8813 Of course! Loved your show :)

Nice!!! I’m good friends with our front ensemble person on rack :)

You are a lifesaver!!!!! Thank you so much oh my goodness
Wow I see how it is just leave out percussion leadership smh

i was in this show, thanks for posting it! Also what part did you think was a violin solo because we didnt have one hahaha
Oh my gosh that’s so embarrassing 😭 I meant soloist, I must have been thinking about something else for some reason?? Closest I can think is that my band had a violin solo a couple of years ago, so maybe I was talking to someone else about that when I commented? I truly have no idea where that came from lolol And no problem!! It’s so different seeing the show compared to being in it so I always want to see my shows after I perform
@@MarchingBandEnthusiast-eq4lw haha no problem. yeah fr you're doing a good service putting this out for us
hey i think i know that blond guardsman >:3
@@khaosghoul lol, are you that blond guardsman? Or are they a friend?
Drum major names are Riley Cassidy (head) and Brigid McKinney(assist)
@@Reganschoice thank you so much!!!!!!
I’m the Tuba at the end of you look at the right the second to last one to the
I hope my bandmates’ enthusiasm speaks for itself on how cool this show is lol (also, I had to make my brother’s phone do a .5 to fit the whole band on the field O-O)
I love the solos and also the parts where particular sections get to show off, 2:55 is my favorite music ensemble moment, and the body work is so good
Just… just the coolest. I’m sorry I don’t make the rules. (Oh my gosh the orange fabric surrounding a portion of the winds as a beam from the ray gun??? What?? Genius??? I know that’s like so tiny compared to the million different things that are cool about this, but that was something that blew my mind in person for some reason lol)
The dynamic control is incredibleeee. The softer parts feel soft but are still audible, and the louder dynamics feel like important moments. So much breath work and repetition I’m sure!!!
Okay the props are so cool and I love the music so much
Hey, I'm a trumpet from Cox Mill and I just wanted say thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it, it was for sure very fun to perform.
@ Absolutely!! It looks super cool :))
@@MarchingBandEnthusiast-eq4lw it is! It was my 4th and final show to march and it was by far one of the best shows I've performed.
Me to I’m a Sousa but it was my first year it was fun other than at this comp I got hit by a flag😅
@@ClintonDietz-jc4lo Heck yeah!! Sousas are awesome! Getting bonked sucks, but I hope your next few years you have seasons just as great as this one :))
Y’all are super precise!!
Super fun music and a very in sync guard!! (Look at guard riding broomsticks at 1:55 !! lol)
A super interesting concept :) Also, the feature and the soloist!!! (Subtitles to be added soon!)
Guard y'all's tosses!! I was with one of our own guard members and she was freaking out lol
Y'all's sound is soo good (the flute soloist oh my GOODNESS)
“Long live the king” is so much fun, honestly this whole show is Also, my band has 6:55-7:15 ish in our movement 2, so we were super excited to hear that lol
The drum major switch-off was so cool {I am so sorry about my hand D'': }
Saxophones you will always be famous Guard you will always be famous
I’m usually not a fan of spoken-word parts in shows, but I felt like the spoken-word parts here actually added something. Speaking of, if anyone has a script, I’d love for you to check my captioning! (0:33, 0:59, 4:07, 6:45, and 7:18)
Y’all are so precise, this show was super duper fun and you could see the hard work take physical form, I swear. I’ll to talk with more detail (and timestamps) about what I love about this show… eventually. I am behind on homework fr
Yeah the show wasn’t hard for some of us, but set 9 got me messed up for the entire season (it’s the part where the flutes throw someone in the air) (I’m the middle flute player in the beginning)
I kept some of the setup in because I really enjoyed when the guard was running around and interacting with some of the horn line groups :) Also! If anyone who is from Randleman or knows someone from Randleman who can give me a script for the spoken parts? I’d love to add captions for that
Y’all’s dynamics were so good!!
This show is so enjoyable, both musically and visually! I think the prop is used so well-a lot of times props feel kinda pointless and just *there*, but I loved the house and the rocking chair. So many little ditties in this I love (a laundry list: 0:30, 0:43, 0:58, (am I listing the whole show? Yes, what are you gonna do?) 1:32, 1:55, 2:16, 4:24 (trombones I love you), 7:11, 7:33, not even counting the big/important moments: 1:13, 2:39, 3:25, 4:55, 5:45, 6:22, 7:24, 7:45 to the end basically… wow I’ve seriously just listed the whole show. Can I be more clear?). Tiny detail, but I love when guard gets special props to spin/do work with that aren’t typical, but do match the show theme. The brooms are super cute :) There’s more visual stuff to talk about but I have to be awake in 4 and a half hours and instead I’m waxing poetic about this show! Hopefully the rest of the Northwest Guilford performances will be up tomorrow lmao
0:03 btw astronaut helmit is the coolest thing to ever happen sorry I don’t make the rules 0:40, 1:05, 1:13 Some fun things with dynamics and facing/not facing the audience 0:52, 6:17, 8:03 This video is secretly “spot the bee flying in front of screen (difficulty level: kindergarten)” 1:29, 1:59 Some truly terrifying looking sets 2:49 I love the way drum major responsibilities were passed off 3:13 Bari you in fact have my heart and soul (headbanging is so real, me too) 3:35 I love the response from the rest of the band, and I love the music directly after the solo too 4:50 Squatting/shuffling to your set is crazy (affectionate) 4:50-5:55 Mallet part doesn’t have to be as catchy as it is 6:52 catchyyyyy 7:20 What do I even call the part where half the band plays and then the other half joins in? Anyway it sounds cool
0:18 God those growls dude 0:29 Roses? Whoever came up with that is a genius 0:34 The music in general is just very catchy 0:54 Scary-looking passthrough 1:25 Person on drum set is having the time of their life (pit is pulsing so well through the entire show, or at least every time I looked) 2:20 The crescendo tho (behind the camera we were silently belting Reflection) 3:45 Catchy music 2: electric boogaloo 4:05 Tosses!! Catches!!!! 4:25 This form is just nifty? Genuinely a thought I had in the moment, idk don’t ask me 4:40 Frolicking part 2: electric boogaloo 4:57 Catchy music pt 3 5:26 Scary passthrough pt 2: electric boogaloo?? (Mallets slaying always) 6:17 It’s an arrow because adventure and travel and
i made those growls😁😅🤣
Percussion slayed tbh
So much cool stuff here, both visually and musically!! The choreo the horn line has matches the music so well and guard is so in sync! Plus the volume to size ratio is really impressive. Y’all look and sound great! I love a big band, but in a lot of ways high-quality smaller bands are more inspiring, because they show small fries like mine the kinds of things we can achieve, lol
I unfortunately missed the first 10-15 seconds of this because I had just gotten seated in the stands :(( A very cool show!!! The costuming is great and I loved the story. Soloists-you sound amazing <33
Fun fact:im the vibe player on the far right
Omg that’s so awesome!! I loved y’all’s show!
@MarchingBandEnthusiast-eq4lw Thanks, man! Put in a bunch of work. It's crazy because we have to have the entire thing memorized. Thanks. I'll be sure to let the rest of the band know you responded!
@@Mista.G994 Yeah, we have to memorize our entire show as well. My school got a new band director last year and now that he’s settled in he’s upping the ante for our next season. I’m really excited to see how we perform in the fall :)

Moments: Sorry, but there’s not going to be much about percussion or the technical aspects of guard. I’m on horn line, so I’m not as knowledgeable in those areas, so for those bits my comments will be more like those of a spectator 0:29 All of these ripple visuals are so well timed 1:45 I love the sound of this beginning part of the music 2:00 Very nice first big hit, love the turning of the horns beforehand 2:13 Beautiful lower body technique in these next few moves 2:17 Ahh omg this solo is so gorgeous!!! 2:30 Love the little footwork when the brass come in 2:57 Hit those diagonals very well 3:45 Sound is just lovely 4:04 I gotta be biased towards my fellow saxes, love this 4:28 Idk what it is about it but this piece of guard work looks very nice even though it’s pretty simple 4:33 Love how the sound blends when the rest of the band comes in 4:57 Very fun visual moments here from both guard and horn line, and I love the transition in the music 5:07 Double swing flags are so in sync here!! (Honestly just that whole section, the whole thing) 5:39 Love the singular guard member around the soloists (duetists?) 5:54 LOVE this hit from percussion, gorgeous gorgeous 5:59 Really love this bit from brass… and honestly just the entire next like 20 seconds, very fun music here 6:29 Awesome catch, had to whoop (apologies for the dip in volume bc of that) 6:56 Oh time for the feathers!!! 7:04 Ooo the hit when the bright flags come out, love itttt, and the succession of guard coming out from behind the props with each successive accent 7:35 This flag work here was very well done 8:17 If you listen carefully, you can hear me go “yesss I love this part”- no because the way I was FLABBERGASTED when I saw the ending for the first time at Enka, loved it so much. Love the circling with the guard member, love the run towards the endzone and the reach, and the total silence the whole time… mwah
Ok as someone from Hillcrest I live your little comments ❤❤❤ yall are so sweet what band were yall?!?
