Arctic Autumn: We Fall for Tombstone Territorial Park 🍁🍂🍃
This world is a riot of living and dying, destruction and renewal, of seasons of birth and death. Last week we were in the remote north of the Yukon Territories and I stood on the edge of an expanse and in the silence was the cacophony of a world in flux: A tiny human amongst endless living things - all intertwined.
Each blade of grass, ancient Jewish wisdom tells us, has an angel over it that whispers, “Grow!”
Not a single detail in this all this complexity is lost in the grand purpose - I choose to live my life by that belief. I choose to make that the framework by which I see the world. Nothing is pointless. Nothing is an “accident”. And the loud show of summer’s end - the death of growing season - it WILL give way to spring again.

How to Visit Kennecott-McCarthy in 24 hours - Root Glacier, Copper Mine Tour
Переглядів 1062 місяці тому
We spent a whirlwind 24 hours in Kennecott McCarthy at the heart of Wrangell St Elias National Parks. Here's the lowdown: -Camped at Base Camp Kennecott -Forked out money for a shuttle to take us the few miles up the road from McCarthy to Kennecott. -Took the Mill Tour from St Elias Guides. It's the only way to access the mill building. Highly recommended! -Hiked out to Root Glacier and explore...

You made it into the park! Don't be intimidated; just because it's a few hundred miles from civilization doesn't mean it's inaccessible. Enjoy exploring YOUR public lands. Here are my to...
Chugach Camping and City Life: The Anchorage Chapter

Our family of seven turned in to a family of eight for this week of our Alaska RV adventure! Anchorage's museums offered a cultural escape, but our fishing luck on the Seward Highway left something to be desired. From cozy ...
Gold Panning and Glaciers: Week 1 in Wet & Wild Alaska:

Alaska threw everything at us the last week in May: rain, snow, and more rain! But don't worry, this adventure wasn't all downpours. We found great places to boondocks between Tok and Glacier View (although, please remember that two weeks solid of boon docking means two week of NO showers...) The rain didn't hold us back from gold panning near the Matanuska river and we snagged a picture-perfec...
