    I just bought a house with lots of bluestone flooring that looks like slate. The grout lines are so thick and stained and the tile is cloudy in places. Watching this gave me the idea to use grout refresh to change the white grout to black and reseal the tiles to look like yours. I can't wait to finish the project.

    Thank you for making this video. 😊😊 After remolding of my bathroom and changing out all the doors in my codon, I vacuumed and cleaned the slate tiles of the hallway and kitchen. I found out they have white paint on them. I am so glad I can use paint thinner to get the paint out. The instruction of the sealer says, don't use sponge to apply the sealer. I guess one reason is sometime, they have some detergent on them already. I guess detergent and sealer doesn't adhere the sealer as good.

      Finally getting to the comments again on this video. Still loving the fun and having a blast. Trying not to use it so much as my goal is continuing to strengthen my body post surgery. But to be honest, the fin does help and it gets me into waves I would probably have missed.

    I received my Boost fin and set setting at 80% continuous, with other at 100% for 10 seconds. Did a test in pool with 80% - continuous and it lasted for 30 mins. My goal was to use the Boost on my SUP out in the surf to help get out past the break and to help catch wave. I am thinking, this should be able to stay in water for about an 1hr surf session. (This includes sitting / ideal time waiting for wave) Have not tried in waves / ocean yet. Also, I was NOT able to get Boost to stop running if the remote went to far away. I was under the impression if the remote was not close enough the Boost would stop, this is NOT the case. Not sure how much drag this will cause. Hope this helps. .

      The sound comes from the fin. The remote is silent. The sound in the video is coming from the fin and transmitted through the board to the GoPro camera housing. That’s why you can hear the fin but not my voice in the video. In real life the fin Sound is much less noticeable.

    Thanks for this review. I have chronic tendonitis in both arms so this seems just the thing for me. You mentioned you can't really hear the sound of the motor, but I hear a high pitched sound in your video, like a dentist drill. That would really bug me if I heard it out in the water (and I don't want to bug my fellow surfers). Thoughts?

    • @flippingdust9666
      @flippingdust9666 2 роки тому

      With the waves a water movement it’s very hard to hear the fin. I think the reason it can be heard better in the video is because the GoPro is mounted right on the stringer of the board. Notice how you can’t hear my voice but you can hear the fin? I think the sound travels through the board and the microphone in the GoPro picks it up through the mount. Just like you can’t hear water slapping against the hull of a boat from the outside, but if you’re inside a boat with your ear pressed against the hull, you can hear it loudly. I hope that helps address your question.

    Once you've caught the wave does it shut off or do you turn it off or do you leave it on and ride the wave?

    • @flippingdust9666
      @flippingdust9666 2 роки тому

      There are two programmed boost options (factory set but can be adjusted via the user app). One program is designed for a short boost getting into the wave. A longer program is designed to help with paddling out - a longer more sustained use of the motor. The short boost will typically time out as the rider catches the wave and stands up. If the program is set for a longer duration or the “paddle out” program is selected the boost technically can be turned off during the ride via the wrist remote, however, there is no harm in riding the wave with the motor running. On slow mushy waves I’ve purposefully used the longer program and found it to be useful - especially in getting around questionable wave sections. I hope that helps. If I missed any part of your quest, feel free to ask more.

    Did you notice any extra drag when not in use on wave?

    • @flippingdust9666
      @flippingdust9666 2 роки тому

      There is a very slight noticeable drag when up and riding with the fin not boosting. The higher the performance board, the more noticeable. If you’re on a fat log, you may not notice at all. But, you can turn it on while riding a wave. I’m editing a follow up video and mention a super fun technique of boosting while riding to connect wave sections that would otherwise end the ride.
