Recently discovered Martin Scorcese intro video from the 1980s Bravo International Film Festival series is paired here with the actual movie Scorcese is talking about (which can also be viewed and/or downloaded at the Internet Archive.) "49th Parallel" is a 1941 British war drama film, the third made by the team of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger.

Reconstructed episode of the late and lamented "Matinee at the Bijou" series sourced mainly from a 1980s VHS tape. The first half-hour was missing and subsequently a short subject had to be replaced due to a copyright situation. The serial installment was missing and had to be added from an outside source. This episode was the twelfth of Matinee's fourth and final season.

Few things were as beloved as the original Matinee at the Bijou series that have also managed to disappear so totally. This is an episode of that series, which ran on public television stations for 4 years, decades ago. It's sourced from a VHS tape that was subsequently transferred onto DVD.

I like Gary Thorne doing hockey over Baseball thats forsure , I grew up watching hockey in British Columbia . im use to CBC, TSN CTV , and regional broadcasts CHEK TV . Living in Canada, you couldn't get ESPN sportschannel, TNT, USA network unless you had satellite Very nice upload 👍
Stanley Donen seems like a down to earth person. The fact he was working with established stars while he was still a teenager is astounding!
