I definitely use it as a tool to help me write my IEP's. I have ChatGPT analyze my raw data to transform it into a professional narrative. Also, I use prompts to address specific areas in the IEP based on my students data. It has also helped me think more globally about my students impairments and ideas and goals to address in the IEP.

As a mom who attended many IEP meetings for my autistic spectrum twins, I commend you for creating this for our educators. I believe that your guide is a great jumping off point in conducting these very important meetings with support staff and families. From a parent's point of view ( my experience, and what I've heard from other patents), more often than not, the impression many of parents get is that the educators (no matter how capable) appear to be flustered as they not being able to convey their message. I think this would help take some of the pressure off so the meeting would be much easier. If I only had one pain point when I attended these meetings, it is the implied expression of not knowing anything related to my kids, their disability, and abilities. Now, I am a bit more informed than many other parents (which kind of infuriated some of the educators), but what should be more of an even level of communication came off as a one sided power play with them "knowing" the child more and the parent's didn't. I know sometimes that's true, but still. Again, I commend you and all educators for what you do to help all kids shine! Thank you.

I have a HUGE desire to see every student play a role to some degree in their IEP meeting. I have yet to experience or even hear of any student in my area do this. In my research on self-determination for young children, I am realizing how much we are missing the opportunity to start preparing even our young learners in SD. I am hoping through my research to bring this to light and help change the landscape of IEP meetings in the future.
