An evening stroll through the air
In elementary school when we were learning to write, Mr. Hanner said, "write what you know." With videos I think the same principle applies. I'd like to make videos of the Grand Canyon too, but I live in Tennessee, fortunately. So that's what I know. By the way, the WKDF building, is the radio station that people of my generation grew up listening to in Nashville. It's a country station now but back in the day it was WKDF Rock and Roll, and it was the station that played the music of my youth.

This is the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center in Clarksville, Tennessee. Flying near it is difficult because the red-brick building with rectangular window slits in the background is the county jail. Flying over the jail is a big no-no so I had to be careful. Dunbar Cave State Park consists of an 8 mile long cave and 110 acres of woodland. Artifacts were found in the cave showing humans first entered the cave as far back as 10000 B.C. One famous human, Roy Acuff, bought the cave in 1948 for $150,000, and big band concerts by the likes of Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey were held inside. Sometimes the view makes flying a drone extra rewarding. Last Friday the water on the Cumberland had crested just below flood stage and the overflow into the fields created an impromptu pond to reflect the setting sun.

Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway opened in 1904 and is the second-oldest operating motor speedway in the United States. The property belongs to the city of Nashville. Some folks want to tear it down and build something new. Others would like to see it remain for future generations. Had to exit the interstate to go around an accident. I just happened to look away from my driving on Maxey Road and was shocked to see an honest to God castle in the woods off to my left! I'm still amused by it.
Nashville doesn't have any real skyscrapers just a bunch of buildings that look like cut of tree stomps. You don't see downtown until you get right up on it because the trees block it out. You can see downtown Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Charlotte, LA and Philly way out.
I'd really enjoy taking pics and making videos of those cities.
