Expensive than freshwater

I am glad you are considering starting a marine fish tank. I would personally say it can be very costly from scratch, but if you can buy second-hand stuff or on eBay auction, you can set it up cheaper . I'd recommend ai blades which are cheapest and probably best lights on market .After you have completed setting up, all it takes to buy all for reef and kalkwasser and fish coral food. But the most expensive part is electric bill. My bill comes up to 120 a month, but that also includes my big tropical fish tank. I think once you understand how to dose correctly, it's pretty easy. I am by far not a scientist, but I make it work it can be very simple once you understand. It's about giving it a time and don't give up

@@talibanstrode6744 I honestly bought a 21$ light bar off Amazon, hygger brand marketed towards freshwater only and thought what the heck I’ll try it and I currently have 8 different frags going, it has three different light color modes and then 4 brightness modes in each color way, automatic time built into the wire it’s a click of a button and it’s set for life or unplugging, the frags I have going vary from mushroom , zoa, GSP, Duncan’s and an encrusting I can’t remember the name of, I’ve got 2 clownfish a dottyback and a watchmen goby, pistol shrimp, coral banded shrimp, couple feather duster worms and your usual small hermit crabs and an urchin thriving all quite happily as far as I can tell, no aggressions lots of hiding spaces and structure I built up I think helps alleviate possible tensions. Its bee n decent so far but I already am in the plannings of making a 30breeder salt next to my 40b freshwater 😆 it’s becoming addictive ! 🤣

All for reef will help you keep your dkh right. And it's important that you check your dkh because if that's alright then everything else should be.
