Using a barbless hook doesn't lose you any fish, but makes releasing them much easier. But probably the most important thing is to NEVER drag the ray on it's belly over the sand. This removes the protective outer coating, making the ray susceptible to infestations and will probably cause it to die. Use a tarp or if possible, unhook the fish while it is in shallow water instead.

Hi there, I found your video most intriguing. I am a disabled Angela and in a wheelchair with the limited pallet. I fish anywhere I can get her used to fish many many years ago and my equipment it’s okay, but is possibly 40 years old, my formula, T with a foot tip is the route I always go to, but he’s a bit heavy and hard to cost these days. I need something which is suitable for myself , To fish peers any feature can get home for Fishing from very hard, standing casting distance and casting close I have you shorten Road, which is I suppose easier for balance but then you are limited on how far you can go, and if you have a surf running you can’t get your tips over it. can you help ???

Such an enjoyable video! Thank you. Always been primarily a bass lure guy. And I have certainly never fished for mullet in any form. Just started scratching my head, eyed few spots with them being around each low tide. So would you please answer a question? I will certainly give this type of trout spinner modification and funny enough, just seen one at local lure shop and wondered why the distance from the hook :D Anyways, question is.I you don't have the luxury of always having the lug worms ready, is there any best next thing you would suggest as the bait? Thanks a lot

Very detailed. Big thinlippers where I am line knocking the free lined presentations for carp. Big ones 5lbs even. Just ordered a 3 gram spinner and two large scented rag worm. Hope this does the trick. They blithely ignore all bread offerings, sweetcorn and stuff. Would love to catch one...even get one to show a shimmering of interest in my bait...

Brilliant video, very helpful! I've been thinking about having a go for mullet alot lately, my local beach is a big surf beach which is pretty good for schoolie bass so was wondering do you think there will be mullet there aswell? It's also not to far from an estuary mouth so I guess up the estuary would be a good shot aswell as I've seen fish topping there and been told they're most likely mullet

Good video. The worms you put on the hook, are they worms that you buy or that you collect? the worms that we collect on the beaches, lugworms and nereids hold poorly on the hook. In France, on the river, I use a bomb and a normal number 2 mepps spoon and I thread several maggots on the grappling hook and it works very well.

Good video. To make the bread hold better on the hook, you can iron bread crumbs with an iron and cut small squares which you attach to the hook. technique used in bread bream fishing.

I've only caught one fish in my life. 40cm mullet. just the one. On a bobber and worm. I went fishing 15 times, half of them were during the winter. I partly blame the rivers near my house and my lack of a vehicle to explore in the blistering sun and ice.
