thats incorrect----I bought my first Taklite TA-50 back in 2012

is there a double click quick access to the strobe function like in the Taklite TA-50 model?

All you need is a 1/4in - 20 screw. Super standard. The knob on my j-arm (cheap one i got from amazon) actually separates from the screw, so I just replaced that and the fit is flawless. I just used some plastic washers to fill in the space on the iris.

Those pedals seem really close together. If I have large nuts, will they make me keep my legs so close together that I squarsh mah nuts?

You need to up the humidity. Try putting in a grow tent with humidifier
