Again gopro stopped working, so the last 10 Minutes before summit do sadly miss. Perhaps i finde some opportunity to do a cut version, but here the full video and pre-cut version.

I could do subtitles if that would be helpful or wanted at least. Thank you for you feedback. i honestly wonder about people watching at all. So, when you give me a more detailed review, i will adapt what´s possible. I once tried a english video about easier uncoiling ropes... not top notch, as we all the time listen english, but rarely have the opportunity to speak it. When i once take the time to do a video, it´s not that much effort to do a english version or language track on it, too. Beside that, there are so many english videos already, not much left to talk about in climbing. But thats only my point of view, so any feedback i apprciate.

Very cool device, but I think each gym would have to instruct and certify each user.

Depends on country i would think. Over here in Germany, you climb at your own risk in a gym (and in general), only the walls and devices in the gym have to be safe, and we have a ton of regulations on this too. So devices, walls and so on are very safe. When a dumb person does silly things, it´s on his own and he can no one blame for it. pretty simple. There is a manual at the device and it is pretty simple. you have to be able to lead climb and do a knot on your own of course. About other countries i just do not know, of course. Thanks for your thoughts

@@apeclimbing Yea that sounds a lot different than where I am. In the US every gym pretty much makes you sign a waiver and take a toprope belay test, and a thorough lead climbing/belaying test and you have to have those tags on your harness. My home gym even requires assisted breaking devices only, as do some others in my area.

Outside big cities a climbinggym has to be glad about every visitor paying money to use it. I ´ve heard about some gyms in germany also only allowing climbing with very strict rules too. But that´s not the common thing. We have a huge alpine club doing a lot of safety work in general. In every gym there are the same alpine club safety rules and people do care about each other. So if i see someone, obviously having no clue what he/she´s doing, i (or someone else) will offer some help, and/or call a gym´s employee as everyone stated to know basic climbing rules on entry. like tying in, belaying in toprope or lead. Funfact, it´s the experienced climbers who are envolved in most accidents, as they lost fear and climb in rush routine. Therefore a single error can be enough, because the belayer often then no longer is really into partnerchecking, because both climbers feel so cool ... not having to do basic check routines. On the other side, a belaying device never makes a mistake, it´s all about user error, and i vitness a lot belayer with assisted belaying devices, not really being observant any more. They feel safe with a superior device, but you can handle every device wrong, as the accident statistics show a lot of automatic belay devices involved into accidents too. There is a old alpine climber in germany, once he stated to that belaying-device topic: I will climb belayed with any device, but not let everyone belay me. Anyway, the invention of the (italian btw) ProGrade is also a step into human error free belaying, as people often are distracted in gyms, and not really good at belaying. A really good belay needs years of practice and a lot of falls to get a feeling for all the aspects, hight, friction, weights and so on. But in the real world, people climbing just a few years, never held a real fall, often think they are good belayers, without having any real experience beside waiting for "take" and "lower me". So the prograde is a cool device for having a climbing session without having to rely on a stranger if on your own. All the best from germany.

It´s decent, but on the other hand, we live on the countryside, far away from any gym. Also it´s a old house, with plenty of work still to do. As you can see, the training room itself was just improvised while corona and far from finished. Wish you all the best for finding perhaps something for your own. If you have a gym nearby, it´s always way more fun with friends anyway.

Hi! Thanks for sharing this video and review. I just bought these shoes online because I found them at a good price and I like how they look, but - after watching this video - I will definitely return them. I have not had such problems with my other climbing shoes. May I ask what language do you speak? I can't recognize it, but if I had to guess, I'd say Dutch.

I am german, but anyway, those shoes aren´t that extremely bad, they are just on the harder rubber side, in my opinion. I mentioned that in the video description, updating my infos on that topic, at least i hope i did. New shoes often are pretty slippery, so where those. For what i paid i am very satisfied, because the fit me very well, and I will give them a vibram xs rubber after i finish the orange rubber. Sorry for the late reply, i am no youtube professional and not used to check for comments.
