Hello mate, can I ask why dpc then single course of brick, dpc then start block work? Cheers
Great Vid…. But potentially dangerous working on your own?
How did ypu prop the inside mate Ive a job and they dont want me using needles is there anyrhing else i can use
Hi mate many men would need to lift that beam up
Great job 👍
I spotted the wonky brick, but in all honesty nobody will notice it after a week or two; there are always bigger issues to worry about!
As ghetto as this was, it was actually very helpful.
You need outriggers on as well
Don’t forget to mention the SAFETY CLIP PINS when connecting !
Laid them spot on. I like the way of making them level and aligned. The only thing I didn't get is that you levelled left to right but not along the trench.
What height would be needed woth a lintel?
Two red from ladder side lift frame side onto the red from other side .It will never fall over .
Turned off soon as a ur using pointing trowel for the spread☹️
Still does the job mate....I used a dust pan when I lost mine 😅
Hello mate, I have to do one smaller than this and all I keep hearing is I have to needle it but it's only 4 meters and I want to just use strong boys. Do you have any thoughts. Thanks for the video mate enjoyed it
Shoukd you not have put a 1 inch thinkness of insul board around the boundry walls and butted the 6 inch insulation up against it? Whats stopping the cold bridge there
I find the only problem with Londons is the amount of chipped bricks you get in a pack
Thank you very much mate, really explained it well, much appreciated. Onwards and upwards tomorrow with my solo scaffold construction 👍
Thanks Kier
Im 10 and i can operate a digger
New vids plsss
We need new videos
Thanks bro you helped me out much appreciated 👍🏾
Is water repellent needed in mortar
Could someone explain why these bricks are dreaded?
I'm confused why it is so big, only 2 stories. 2 little train tracks should do?
Bricks always frog up
how do you measure a tower if you want to buy more bits to it ?
Dude … that DPM needs to be right up to the edge of the brickwork. The reason I’m watching is because I’ve started repointing a house because the lead underneath the coping was an inch away from the edge. Also had to go redo a parapet because we-laid the damp 5mm back from the face. Caused a lot of damage inside the house.
Is that acro just agains a scaffold taking the weight of the joists?
Think you need proper pasma training
er, shouldnt they be once weathered (slope on one side.. thinnest part facing inwards to the roof)) as its a parapet roof as opposed to a garden wall.
No Music!
Nothing like a big beam instal to get the adrenalin flowing for a week leading up to it,then a massive relief when it's in
Quick one mate, that is a DPC you put down before coping correct? I've got to do a repair and thought of putting that down first on the parapet wall before laying coping stone.
Thanks mate, very useful
quick question ..... how would you run central heating pipes to radiators or electric cables if the floor is now solid concrete and walls are solid brick?
Insulation should be staggered, and any gaps between the boards should be filled with expending foam
Can you tell me the name of the extraction unit your using please?
I'm not at all confident that thermalite is a suitable material for building a house/building on top off. It is lightweigh and has little compressive strength. I am amazed that it seems to have approval for this task. They may have run 'tests' on it but how will it perform in 30 years, 50 years time ? You cananot test for time and material changes. They are a good idea in terms of convenience and speed, but I would have thought a 3kn block would be more suitable.
Was it too short
Why do people install the insulation under the concrete slab and some insulate above the concrete slab ?
There's always a close enough brick color and texture match if you shop around enough to find it. Why bother? Because the best brick repair doesn't look like a repair and the customer is always happier with a match that's at least close.
Very interresting to see, thanks! I have a little job like this coming up on my own house - a 3,5 meter beam, that needs to be changed. I plan on doing it myself even though im not a bricklayer. So wish me luck :)
It's possible that the building will collapse if your luck doesn't run well. Get a proper builder to instal it!
Thanks, but it worked out well😊
Good day mate. What’s your technique if the actual brick was cracked? Fill with mortar?
Good Video buddy 🙂
Это экстернально😮😮😮
Good to see the use of priming slurry, as many don’t bother and risk cobbles or pavers working loose in time.
Big no no bricks frog down not good practice
Hi just found the video fab job got my door to do in the summer what was the “fish tail” things and what are they for ? Cheers
Hello Thanks For The video Its Great I have slates holding As The DPC And I need to replace the bricks below and redo the DPC should I remove the slates and the add the new DPC Or Should I Leave The Slates under Many Thanks Joe 👍😎
