I'm a pharmacy student in 5th year in France, I love watching your videos :)
@@MS-yr3ez haii! Thanks for watching 🫶🏼 How long is pharmacy school in France? For us it’s 4 years at university
@ to become a community pharmacist it’s 6 years here in France (including the first year of selection). It’s the same for industry! But if you choose lab or hospital, it’s 9 year or more (with a selection the 5th year). I’ll pass my exams soon, watching pharmacist’s vlogs are motivating for me😊
@ wow! That’s quite long! .. however I’m glad my videos are helping you💜 rooting for you!! Thanks for leaving a comment it’s motivating me to carry on making videos too 🥹🥹Hope you pass your exams soon 🥳🥳🫶🏼🫶🏼
Can you make a one vlog on prescription??? Which kind of prescription and every patient have prescription or some patient are without prescription…???
HAHA that's a good one! I am trying to do a 28 day repeat ;) I don't fully understand the question you're trying to ask.. would you be able to rephrase that?
@yangshua0130 prescription? Which kind of prescription patients have? Can you make a next video on prescription? (Prescription is the note or page 📄 in which doctors write medicines and gives to patients ≥>>>> then patient come to pharmacy and give page to the pharmacist) so I'm curious to see the prescription that's on your pharmacy.. 😁

Love your vlogs. I've been thinking about pursuing my Pharmacy Technician certification.
!! wow that's amazing <3 there is so much pharm techs can do now I hope you get to enroll on the course :)
interesting video. I recently joined a small pharmacy as a pharmacy colleague and I feel for the pharmacists they seem so busy all the time lol. And yesss patients are so mean sometimes I once got shouted at on my second day because I told a lady she had to wait 30 mins for her prescription because it was a walk in. All in all though I love the job.

Hey sooah, just stumbled into your channel after being knocked off my feet from a busy bank holiday shift 😅 To top it off our till was down for the whole morning....the joys of community 😂 Great to come across a fellow Welsh korean pharmacist! I did most of my growing up in Cardiff but now in Somerset! But my korean is absolutely terrible😂 ex community here, I still recall my first locum shift in a busy bristol branch and had to do 30 blue script patients on the day with none of them made up! My pre reg year we only had 1! Let's just say I was chucked into the deep end on the day😢 Recently made the transition to hospital 🏥, wanted to dive into the unknown and see what it's like. So far it's a massive struggle but was kinda expected and hopefully will get easier. Look forward to seeing your future uploads and seeing how community develops! Interested to see how pharmacy first develops. Random question, finding a DPP, was it just a matter of emailing practises here and theres and praying that they will accept you? Think thats the hardest part where pharmacist is trying to find.
@@scaphk9546 oh my goodness HELLO I worked a bank holiday shift too haha thanks so much for stopping by to this side of yt 😌 so lucky to find a welsh korean dang!! My korean is pretty okay I remember crying when learning how to write ✍️ haha but it paid off Well done for making the shift to hospital! Ive also heard that when making the shift it is hard at first but I’m sure you’ll adjust well😄 I personally I’m enjoying community pharmacy atm but I would like to experience other sectors too if I’m honest so I hope I get a chance 🤞 I do relate to the circumstances you’ve listed haha not the best of times hey but well done you for seeing to the end of those particular shifts 🥹 In terms of pharmacy first that is a NHS England service which is similar to the Common Ailment Service (CAS) in Wales 🏴 so this is expanding at the moment. Hope you drop by again soon! Been slow with video editing but will upload v soon 💜
@@scaphk9546 also in terms of DPP yes I managed to find a list of surgeries in my area and mass emailed and thankfully I found one!

Hii I am from india and i want to be a pharmacist at there , what i do ?? Please help me🙏
Thanks for leaving a comment! If you're already a qualified pharmacist in India: - Complete a one-year accredited Overseas Pharmacists' Assessment Programme (OSPAP) - Complete a 52-week foundation pharmacist training programme in the UK. - Pass a registration assessment administered by the GPhC. If you're not qualified: Normal route -> study MPharm (4 years in university) -> 52 week training -> GPhC exam
@@yangshua0130 Thank you 🙏
I’m an upcoming pharmacy student do you have any tips I should know beforehand??
I would try to keep an open mind when it comes to different pharmacy sectors and maybe go over maths statistics, because this knowledge will really help you understand the numbers in research papers! Lastly get ready to work hard! <3
I think you acting correct. A Pharmacist has to think about half-Life, LD 50 and other important details. That's not always so funny and a reason to smile.
Very true but we can always find joy somewhere<3
I like to see from the OTC Area. Maybe there's already such a video online...
Pharmacists aren't on the OTC area as much here in the UK as there is so much to do behind the scenes, I tend to be on the OTC healthcare when my counter staff aren't sure or the patient themselves want to speak to the pharmacist.. also patient information and things.. it will probably be difficult but.. thanks for the suggestion <3
@@yangshua0130 Thank you very much! It's even nearly the same in Germany.
@@jacquelineroswell-sander1202 ahh I see! In Germany do you provide national services like flu vaccinations too? We usually provide it between Sept-March that's our 'Flu seasaon'

I enjoyed the video, it’s a throwback! I’ve left the industry now and I’m in tech but I’m tempted to come back as a PCN pharmacist or indeed as a community pharmacist. However I’d need to get my IP! What’s the landscape like now, do you think it’s worth coming back or staying and progressing in tech? Thank you!
Helloo thanks for the comment! It depends on what you’re after I’d personally say. (If it’s money then stay in tech HAHA) If you’re missing the clinical aspect side of things PCN pharmacist is a great way to go. IP will be certainly be useful there. You can lead your own specialist clinic as a pharmacist too! Community is good because you’re very exposed and up to date with the medicine supply and you know what’s out of stock/in short supply. Also the most informed person to obtain medicines/services is a community pharmacist. This is a brief(🤣?) breakdown of the two sectors. Currently the pharmacy education is changing: MPharm students graduating 2026 (I think) and qualifying from 2027 will be IPs as they have a prescribing module incorporated into their learning. I’m currently doing a part time (2 years) distant learning IP+clinical course with Cardiff uni to skill up!
Depending on where you intend to work there is quite a lot of funding opportunities for the IP course if you look! My course is covered ☺️ the typical IP course is 6 months
Hi weathdecoders. How did you convert from pharmacy to tech? By tech, what sort? Coding, IT, engineering? Did you have to self study or go back to uni?

How do you like being a community pharmacy so far? I'll be starting my foundation training year this summer and I am quite nervous of how it will all go! Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated : )
Hi there <3 Community pharmacy is okay and I'm always learning a lot! Ahh starting foundation training how exicitingg I hope was uni was okay :> Hmm in terms of advice I will say these: 1. Make sure you get your annual leave and protected study time defined. Most employers will say your annual leave is inclusive of study time before the exam (i.e. 28 days annual leave = bank holidays + study time) , maybe if you're lucky you'll get annual leave and study time separately: annual leave (28 days) + study time (14 days for example). 2. Have a small notebook/pen at hand so you can jot down things throughout the day: about some fact you didn't know before, or topics you need to study/look into later when you go home 3. Work a 5 day week and no weekends.. you need that rest haha! (imo) 4. **Don't take what patients say personally**, because majority of patients just complain sometimes because they are just frustrated and the people that end up listening to that is us.. it helps your mental health in the long run. We can only do what we can do for them :)) 5. Ask for help when you're not sure! Best to look into something first before giving incorrect information/advice! 6. If you don't already make sure you know how to use adrenaline pens (it's really easy dw) and make sure you have some in stock. I've had this crop up a few times in practice and with this knowledge you can deal with emergencies more smoothly from my personal experience! (ask staff to call 999 first then use adrenaline pen) Sorry this ended up being an essay but I hope this helps <3
