I know I'm late to this, but I only got around to it now. Dang, some crazy insight on Harumasa. I'm not used to seeing him with that face. I've been associating the deer-in-headlights look with him until now. It seems like the some of the heavy stuff ends up in these short videos. They're such a stark contrast to most of the story you experience in the game where it's more upbeat and always colorful. And every now and then we get a little peek. I suppose it's a must to watch all these character demos, huh? Like if you didn't watch the Yanagi one, you would be oblivious to... well, you probably haven't watched it yet... if all you knew was what you saw in the game. Ryn, please save this poor guy!

Thanatos Harumasa foreshadowing

Whooooooaaaa this Character Demo is pretty heavy. Also I like his weapons, a combination of a bow and katanas. It gives him the flexibility of range and close combat. I like this attention to the detail

My speculation is...he was exposed to ether corruption when he was young, or he had been experimented to become a mutation of Ethereals. Coz Hoyo loves corrupted chars like Himeko & all other HI3 chars that have been possessed by Herscherrs...Even Cocolia & Acheron from HSR, and many chars from Genshin like Arlecchino, Xiao, Shenhe, Carter, Jakob, & Chasca.

Ryn, if you want him to feel any bit better, you have to get him his wengine. Food for thought.

Did you notice that the bedroom scene was repeating itself? But each time there were less pills. Lot of 💊 at the beginning and then by the 3rd time you see the room scene the bottle is gone and he is gone...where did bro go? 🤔

This is definitely the heaviest char demo to date, tho some of the teasers have hit as hard or harder (S11, yanagi) not usually the job of a demo tho

Bro is not ok. Unfixable

A lot of people are speculating that Harumasa was lost in a Hollow when he was younger and was barely saved turning into an Ethereal, but he spent time in the hospital and as a result he was traumatized. He's afraid that he would suddenly turn into an Ethereal and start slaughtering people.

You know, I'm going to be honest, I don't think he is okay. Just a bit of speculation on my part though.

well this is why indie games are are worth every penny(except to those who wre either for the cawh grab or just for the attention)due to the developers giving them love and passion hence creating a beautiful master piece and i cant even fucking believe this is made by my peoples.....well cant blame them my peoples are very humble and cheerful and very creative when it comes to romance and shit 9/10 love the game and voice acting but you cant replayed the entire game if you finish it...its not that impactful anymore

Summary-: his punishment for wanting to be "God" is a rejection/exile and now as a traveler seeking redemption he is with the protagonist on the train. Sunday you had everything and overnight you lost everything even your sister, now your sister is the head of the family while you are rejected by society who seeks. forgiveness. ✍

I love how in the EN Dub he sounds so much more quietly sadistic. Cooking the borisin and serving them to the others is easy to miss, but the EN voice actor had such a quiet menace that its easier to notice somethings... off about this food lol

If you didn't notice, he was quite literally cooking the borisin. That's what he was serving to Sushang and Bailu, and his battle were flashbacks of him hunting them. That's why it cuts to them and then the meat.
