Sorry, I don't have this PC anymore. As I remember there are plastic clip/s holding the fan, then you disconnect the fan power and take the fan out for cleaning.

Push the front button in the front to open the tray, if it does not work (no lights/power) - you might need to open the computer and re-plug the SATA power and data cables inside.

Nice. Get a couple of NVMe install them in each PC. You have 2 very fast working computer/s. Just FYI ... will not support Windows 11, because Win 11 requires 8 generation and above, but there are work-around to bypass requirements - google how to .... Windows 10 support/updates will end October 2025.

@@MICROCHIPFLIP yep! There is a kind of Win 10 extension: 0 Patch. Think there is a small annual fee, but it's for.. 5 years. There is a kind of Microsoft plan, where you can keep Win 10 for about 3 more years, but it's kind of pricey! As a kind of hobby I look for electronics in dumpsters and curbside stuff!

@@j.lietka9406 Yes, I read about the Win 10 extension ... that's great - but if costly, it's not worth it. I sold a few of these computers not meeting Win 11 requirements but installed Win 11 bypass the CPU and TPM requirements - of course I inform the buyers. All of them don't really care bec it still does all the updates anyways. I do some dumpster and curbside too, but mostly I buy them from offerup and/or craigslist. I upgrade and do videos and sell them. I don't make much money, it's a hobby (I'm retired - and keeps the brain active) - and I just like messing around with computers - it's fun.

I don't have this PC anymore - sold. But yes, you could do 3 HDD for RAID 5, the power cables are there all you need are the HDDs and SATA cables.

Congratulations, good choice! AMD Ryzen are good CPUs, 16 GB RAM is perfect for what you use for, 32 GB would be better if you are running multiple extensive software. I don't like slow PCs either, thus I buy PCs and upgrade (RAM, SSD/NVMe) then UA-cam video them, then sell them. That's my hobby, to give chances in reviving slower PCs and make them faster. @@Johnny_Fox_Show Nice ... should speed up processing. I do video editing, with 32 GB RAM, it speeds up my rendering in Adobe Premiere and After Effects - big difference.

@@MICROCHIPFLIP I am not even thinking about using this for editing i already got a monster build at home for that with a ryzen 5900x and a 6800xt gpu and 64gb ram (was 128 before the original rig broke down). Renders an hour long video in like 3 minutes.

@@Johnny_Fox_Show Wow, you are all set on your build. That's super-fast - 1hr video rendered in 3 minutes, very nice. I did have a precision dual Xeon 64GB RAM, that was very fast as well. Buyer tested and installed Fusion and was impressed with speeds - no hiccups - sold 😀. I should have kept it he he he, I got too many computers.

I don't have this anymore, but I recall that there were never fan issues - sound wise - very quiet.

@@MICROCHIPFLIP Thanks a lot! I have a G4 2400GE unit and was using it for mostly light activities, but it has some fan noise, not too bad though, it was just a bit unusual.

I used regular SATA cable from amazon. The SSD power cable was already available from the power supply.

Correct, I could put an ssd or 2.5 HDD to replace the dvd. Battery was checked when I cleaned, was reading okay in my meter. Thanks for the advice.

You could get a fan, make sure it fits on the power connector in the motherboard. Or if you have NVMe you really don't need fans, just NVMe heatsink.

Yes, it fit, but it was a pretty tight fit - bent the cage a just little bit.

No, I didn't install a 2.5 because I broke the data cable for the HDD. And it sold right away anyway with just the 2 nvme.

You are exactly right. You may put the SSD there and retain the HHD.

I don't have this PC anymore. But yes, m.2 sata should work.

Not sure if the 3050 would fit. But you will have to replace the power supply to at least 450 watts - requirement for the rtx GPU. Current psu is only 180 watts.

Most likely RAM issue. Try to re-seat. Or if you have 2 sticks, try one and the other - switch.

Yes, you can remove and mount to another PC. Once booted to windows, immediately do a windows 10/11 update to install drivers in the new machine. OR you can fresh install windows. I have videos to download windows 10/11 to a USB and how to fresh install windows to a new PC. Backup your files first.

Hi. I don't think its going to work. The motherboard and system panel headers are proprietary to HP Victus case. You also have to change your PSU to 550w or higher to run the 3060 GPU. With the new PSU - power connectors in the motherboard is different - not going to work. You have to get a new motherboard that supports the Ryzen CPU - transfer the CPU, RAM, and HDD (NVMe and/or HDD). Plus a new PSU and PC case.
