@ For law enforcement tactical team purposes it’s not odd. He’s not banging doors & huts in Afghanistan nor a third world country so that set up of very functional for his role. Just my observation, since he’s a breacher he’s carrying most if not all of the manual tools/explosives or ballistic breach tools. He’s also a Team Leader which his role is to coordinate in the middle of the entry and manage the control of the operation. Working both sides of the house I can tell you both have their difficulties and gear is forever changing on how you move in attics, hallways, etc. Not everyone is well versed on camera either nor a public speaker.

@@RoninWarrior1776 If you look at dudes kit who are on more reputable teams with a higher optempo, you can tell the difference. Look at teams like LASD, LAPD, OCSD, Dallas PD, etc… the way his kit is configured is just strange and not operationally efficient. His gear is budget, not the high end stuff legit team guys use

@ I know what LASD runs that’s where I went to swat school with their Special Enforcement Bureau. No one had super high end priced out gear. What that had was what worked for their mission set, which could be a mixture of high-end to affordable. They were very slim line and simple when it comes to gear but those dudes run over 300 high-risk operations a year. I just think it’s all personal choice and there isn’t “always” & “never” kit.

Likely a mobility issue. Plate carriers worn correctly are high. So it can be difficult to draw mags if they are face a certain way. I do the same thing and grab the baseplate instead of the traditional beer can grip.

It seems like it’ll work anywhere there flat ground. He’s not on a paved surface. He’s out on grass. You could carry it into a home where there’s a barricaded suspect and put it in front of the door. If there’s an armed robbery suspect still in a building or home, you can set that thing up out front and command the suspect to come out. Seems pretty doable to me.
