Issue 009 of my Animated Comic is the first night scene!
I feel it helped a lot with showing off the distant battle! Plus some more showings of Warhammer, unique Lego, and Classic Minecraft minifigs this time around!
The variety will only continue to expand with each episode (as shown with more Palworld and Fallout in this one), as are the episode focuses!
There will be more interesting and obvious high-end battle issues in the future of Toytally Fantasy, but not right now. There’s plenty more smaller scenes I can get done to truly let the larger ones feel different with higher stakes. Or at least as much stakes as a comic featuring toys play fighting each other can ever get. As long as it’s entertaining at the end, I’ll be content with another episode to my growing animation portfolio.
I aimed for this to be a decent balance of action, talking, and revelations but no idea if it wound up there by the end of it. Usually a bit numb to my own episodes after working through all the editing.
Still continuing to carefully worldbuild my dubbed comic, but I’m aware how man longer episodes I’ve been spamming. There’s another lore episode I really need to get out sooner rather than later, but I’ll have to put it off a bit longer just to upload some smaller ones again. It really has been one longer release after another as of late - whoops!
The future will also have more fun little topics like Kragle and the like - I’m totally cool throwing the pendulum back against overdone fandom memes!
As DDBuilds’ Flagship solo endeavor, Toytally Fantasy: A Ballad to Imagination is an Animated Comic Series that memorializes childhood playtime, but with an adult’s perspective in the narratives. While mainly light hearted and aiming to be an entertaining kick of nostalgia, this successor to Studs and Bolters aims to create many standalone episodes that piece together a vibrant world of toys and models. Rule of Cool and Creative Deviation form its foundation, where popular figures adapt and grow based on their new lives they lived - and the fellow toys and models they interact with!
