if you are a magic user, ambush shard seems to hit the gem on their back 100% of the time. as long as you have the FP, you can kill them from a safe distance relatively quickly.

Spent 3 hours trying to get this with a tallisman to boost item drop rate and still didn’t get it. Just use a different weapon.

I used a terra magica comet azur setup to beam him from the ledge across the big drop in the center. Worked consistently every time as a ranged kill

If youre rocking arc/faith thorns poise break him bleed proc really easily around 3 casts stuns wear silver tear head thioller chestpiece outer god talisman both scarabs also grafted greatsword took around 5 tries to get at 80ish arcane
