2016 GMC Terrain - No AC, Temp Gauge Cold, Fan Stays On. Temperature Coolant Sensor Replacement.

GMC Terrain - No AC, Temp Gauge Cold, Fan Stays On Symptoms point to a bad coolant temperature sensor. The part is not expensive but a challenge to replace. You can do it! Once you locate it and find a comfortable position on top of the motor it’s not a bad job. After replacing, I did have to reset the computer as the temp gauge still stayed in cold until I cleared the computers memory by disco...
How I removed a granite counter that was glued down

Even though I’m not going to be reusing this granite I tried not to break it. It was glued to a piece of MDF that was screwed to the wall. I used shims to slowly separate the two.
Breaking A Granite Counter Top… On Purpose

I needed access to behind the dishwasher and I didn’t want to remove it. Since the countertops are being replaced I decided to break it and get access to that area for some electrical work. Wear your safety glasses!
How I repainted a set of chrome Buick Rally wheels.

Freshening up a set of Buick Rally wheels by cleaning them with 0000 steel wool. The old black paint was in pretty good condition so I just scuffed it with the steel wool. I taped off the hoop and spray it semi gloss black by Duplicolor. Using a lint free cloth and some brake cleaner, I cleaned off the chrome spokes. Makes it much faster than trying to tape everything up. And they turned out ...
Whirlpool Bottom Freezer Frozen Shut - Will Not Open
Переглядів 17 тис.Рік тому
This is my Whirlpool French door bottom freezer refrigerator. The freezer door will not slide open. It’s not frozen around the seal. I found that there was water pooling in the bottom that froze the drawer in place. There is a drain for this condensation but it gets clogged over time and overflows into the bottom of the freezer. In the video I show the drain and how to remove and clean it out.

Replacing a broken toilet flange in a cement floor. Also added a spacer so the new flange sits at the finished floor height.

this is happening to me right now haha. Unfortunately I pulled on the door without thinking trying to budge it and have loosened the handle, anyway to tighten it again?
There’s a set screw under wash side Maybe you just need to tighten it. It’s a small Allen wrench.
@@69-MinuteFix Thanks for your time and information, the video too. My freezer has been locked like this for over a year and I just ignored it until it finally stopped cooling the refrigerator due to the freezer's sensor yesterday. A day of unplugged thawing, seemed to barely make a difference, probably would have taken nearly a week. Found this video, put towels all around and dumped about 10+ jars of steaming water through a funnel like you did and it finally came right out, you should have seen the ice blocks, the entire thing was completely frozen through, racks and all inside and out--LOL.
@@majiktouch9425glad it helped! Appreciate the feedback!
I already change it and still doing same problem
Few possibilities You got a bad sensor. It’s not plugged in tightly enough A wiring issue, a short etc.
What kind of drill did you use? Can I use a regular cordless drill? That's all I have.
Any cordless drill should be fine. The difference is the drill bit. You need a masonry drill bit. Home Depot will sell come concrete screws and the matching drill bit with it.
All that you really needed was a spanner flange to repair it. Other than that, nice job.
Who else is here cause they bought the wrong toilet size? Fuck my life
You mean the space from the wall to the flange? Most common is 12” I believe. Less common is 10”. Might be worth returning the toilet and get the same one vs trying to move the flange. I know Home Depot carries both.
I watched your video today. I also watched about half dozen other ones that told you the only way you could do it is by taking the handle off. That is false. Your method worked like a charm with just a basic flat screwdriver. It took me all maybe 2 minutes. Thanks for the instruction!
Thanks for the feedback! That’s why I make videos!!
That is crazy just defrost the refrigerator
That would have taken days. And I would have lost all food. This way I saved some of it.
Did not see him apply primer
Keen eye. It is recommended. I didn’t have any. I’ve since looked up strength tests for primed and unprimed joints and there was no big difference found. Still I would use it if I had it.
Why are flanges glued vs threaded?
Good question. I never really thought about it. If it were threaded, it may be difficult to remove still as in most cases you can’t get a hold on what’s below the floor. Could be finished basement or crawl space.
You should have used a heat gun , after making your first cut !!! The pipe glue will soften after you heat the flange and you can peel the old flange out .
Good tip! Could potentially help someone who’s watching.
Since this video is 3 yrs old, I'm curious to know how this flange replacement has held up since you sat the flange on top of that grout. I thought the flange might leak sitting on the grout like that. I appreciate you taking time to make the video.
Rock solid. Cement floor so there’s no flex and no cracking grout. The flange sits on the spacer which is in the sanded grout.
Did this fix everything?
Yes. This one sensor fixed it. No more warning light in dash, ac works and fan does t stay on after shutting off the car.
@@69-MinuteFix thank you so much for this !!! I have the same car same problem and yes ! It did work!!! Thank you brother!!
@@Mr.clintontoneyawesome!! That’s why I make videos! Love a good outcome.
Thanks! why did you have to take the door off?
It made access to the bottom of the freezer easier to get the chunks of ice stuck to the bottom out.
This is sadly a common problem with Whirlpool “frost free” refrigerator/freezers. Sadly, until now, I was told by so called authorized Whirlpool techs that it just caused by moisture freezing in the drain line, and it would be a good idea to defrost my frost free freezer once or twice a year. So I have been doing that. However, I neglected to do it now for over a year, so the door is frozen shut. As soon as I get it open, my sure fire fix is to buy a non Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer. The video was great, it does explain the possible issues. P.S. I am a different CS…lol
All purpose glue , not recommended . Thank you for vid 👍
ty!
Thank You
why put the plastic spacer in there rather than just filling with the brown stuff?
It’s a solid surface for the flange to sit on as I glued it in. If I only filled with the sanded grout I could have inadvertently pushed the real flange too deep
After over 2 minutes in crap ads, I'll watch someone else. Staying on this channel WILL waste your time!
That does suck. Unfortunately I have no control over the ads. I’m not monetized or making any money from them.
@@69-MinuteFix I can understand that and can certainly tolerate a short ad, but I think you're losing viewers with two back-to-back unskippable ads (total time 4 min 16 sec.). Wish I had seen your tutorial.
That is excessive!!!
My old flange is not level. Off by mm . Would this work if I used more cement on the one side that is lower to make the flange sit even and not tilted.
I don’t think so. If the pipe in the floor is not level you won’t be able to glue on a flange without it not being level too. If it’s only off by a mm I’d use a neoprene ring instead of a wax ring.
Rubber gloves.
I wasn’t too concerned. It’s my toilet. And just wash your hands well when you’re done. But yes gloves certainly wouldn’t hurt.
@@69-MinuteFix 🤔 I don’t even remember watching this video. Thanks for your reply. I evidently needed to rewatch it. My mother’s toilet has a broken flange.
no primer?
Thank you! I just had the same issue with the defrost pipe and had to unplug/defrost the freezer for 48 hours before my roommate was able to yank open the freezer drawer. While we were defrosting, we wedged open the freezer drawer as much as we could with little blocks to let room temperature air in and also opened the drink drawer above the freezer. Who knows how long it would've taken otherwise...
Glad it helped!!!
why did you use primer before glue?
Outstanding tutorial! Do it right the 1st time and never go back. My Dad's wise advice over 60 years ago. The homeowner before me simply put a wax ring down on a concrete/tile floor and then siliconed the toilet to the tile on a $600k house!!!! How frustrating on at least three levels!
Your dad was right . Go the extra mile first, and you won't get any leaks or call backs!
Gloves 🧤 sir
Great job my man😀
Nice job
Great video, what kind of light are you using? I can see it propped up on the side.
It’s an led work light from harbor freight www.harborfreight.com/500-lumen-led-rechargeable-magnetic-handheld-foldable-slim-bar-work-light-59536.html
That's why you shouldn't use that cheap plastic vinyl in your bathroom floor
This floor is actually ceramic tile. Looks like wood.
I would’ve used a multi tool
They make repair rings that go right on the broken flange,if you don't want to replace the the old one.
Which glue you used?
Universal type good for PVC
Thank you! Now to find someone to do this...
You can unplug for a day or two and it should defrost enough to open.
Let this guy get his own gloves he should know better he must not be a real plumber NASTY
Correct. I am not a plumber. Not that it’s any different but it was my house/toilet. There’s nothing caustic… just washed my hands after.
Very easy
people do the stupidest things
Did you change that outdated gate valve angle stop and rubber supply line too?
I did! Went with a 1/4 turn valve and a braided line.
Good job keep clean
Might finally have that project I gotta give in and buy the sawzall
Nice work!
Thanks for the video. Working on this job now and needed a good idea.
My plumber has set up ptrap here is it correct elbove would be better
DO NOT used Tapcons. They rust and or break. Use stainless hardware!
I just used JB Weld. It worked like a charm.
All of you "Do It Yourself Video Guys" should wear gloves. Other than that, Nice Repair.
Do you have to glue it in if it slides into the pipe
Glue is a must. It’s a chemical bond between the pipes and seal.
Are we supposed to glue it in????
I did this for 4 hours and it worked! Thank you!!!!
Glad to hear that! Thank you for the feedback
You wronwater will leak between ffleng
Wrong about what? Once there’s a wax / neoprene ring how will it leak?
