Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc - Season Review (Spoilers)
This is only a problem if collectors...US, let it become a problem. It's like you said, vote with your wallets. Trust me, if these sit on store shelves or warehouse boxes long enough, they're going to hit bargain basement prices, really fast. Look at T2, that was $7 4K until they stopped production on it and inventory went low. And it's not predatory or anti-consumer, it's capitalist. It's what they're supposed to do. Charge you what they think you'll pay. The question is, will you pay it and if you do, don't be surprised if the prices keep going up across the board, steelbook or not.
Should’ve known this would be some nonsense when 28 days later got put over Candyman lmao
Chase: "He signed up his whole family to be executed." Gabe: "Hmm...🤔". I have concerns now 😂😂
I still prefer the Broly movie artstyle over this CGI one and the movie is more interesting But they did a good job regardless
Greay episode guys ans congratulations on the 50! What is the discord you keep mentioning please as i have no idea what this is?
discord.gg/5BxYz7BXnA Here ya go! We forget to add it sometimes
@@FromScreenToShelf great joined now thanks guys
Congratulations on 50! Another banger. The guests were great as well.
I’ll always have a soft spot for it, first one I saw in theaters
Nice!
I genuinely dislike this movie. for the few things it does right it does EVERYTHING else wrong. my biggest compaint is they should just have made a different movie all together. it would have been much better recieved
Couldn't agree more with revenge it's a brilliant film. I bought it the year it came out I loved it so much. Second sight have a release of it as well.
It’s so good! Revenge just does so many common themes that we’ve seen before so well in such a great way.
I like this movie it tryed something different. I did not think it was some amazing masterpiece, but I thought it was pretty good. The beginning of the fbi killing Jason was awesome though
We’ll see how Arrow does with the 4K release. Might get a lot of people to check the movie out again.
Great timing gents got this lined up for my commute into the office today. Thank you!
Fantastic! Enjoy!
@@FromScreenToShelfGreat episode please do a follow up!
I just watched it and I agree with you guys it does go back to the movies of the 90s I Thought Cage's performance was good and creepy
I highly recommend checking out Fallen (1998) if you liked this movie!
I don't need a 4k disc only have a blu ray, this was only available tbis way. Wish it was just a blu ray with the soundtrack too
I got their corrected version Friday. Took a month to get here, they had to re author the 4K disc's
Mine just came in yesterday. I’ll probably get to it sometime this month! Come back here and let me know your thoughts on the reissued disc if you get time!
I was waiting to see your views on this thanks guys!
Thanks for checking out the video. I’d encourage you to take a chance with the film. It definitely wasn’t terrible and did have some redeeming qualities to it.
Within The Woods was the late 70s short version of Evil Dead Raimi used to raise funds from investors to make Evil Dead. They made the short for about $1600.
Eaten Alive is great, not sure why Chase said Englund's name then took it back, he is in the film as well. Return of the living dead for me is a spring/summer watch only, it was filmed in southern CA and originally came out in July and with what people are wearing, for me there's no fall or cold vibes there so it's great for warm weather viewing.
I figure if I watch RotLD before the first day of Fall I’m good! 👍🏻 I feel the same way about Summer of ‘84. They are summer movies to get you in the mood and excited for the transition to Autumn.
You don't need the profanity. And your review is amateurish.
Thanks man
What a great video and suggestions guys. I love town that dreaded sundown as well. My October essentials are all the Fridays, Halloween 1,2,3, trick r treat, the fog, exorcist 3, prince of darkness.
Hell yeah! Fog is such a classic. Glad to see Exorcist 3 getting a nod! Love that one.
Great list guys. I definitely need to check out Haxan and the Town That Dreaded Sundown
Its so good! You definitely need to check out Town That Dreaded Sundown for sure.
Megalopolis should be prepped for others to expect a Broadway show but shot for film edited with special effects. The dialogue and makeup read for a stage production but the cinematography and SE is one for a modern movie. I think this would do better if it was advertised as such to set up the pace for the audience like a dramatic Broadway show.
Thats an extremely valid point, i almost didnt want to rate it in any capacity as its hard to gauge. It has some brilliant moments and then it has some others where its just face palm worthy.
My top 10: 1. Dead Ringers A+ 2. Crash A 3. Eastern Promises A 4. A History of Violence A 5. The Fly A 6. Naked Lunch A- 7. ExistenZ A- 8. Videodrome B+ 9. Scanners B 10. A Dangerous Method B
Great list!
Whens videodrome retrospective video
Soon my son. Soon.
Interesting stuff... Putting it on the ever-growing list. If I don't like it, there will be blame placed. No pressure.
# Substance Sweep!
Had no idea you were a Transformers fan. Or maybe I forgot. Have you been reading the new comics from Skybound? If so, what do you think? If not.. WHY???
I definitely need to soon! I was keeping up with the mid late 2010s run of whatever power rangers and transformers that was coming out at that time and it was great. I just fell out of comics super super hard a couple years ago.
Thanks for your thoughts on this and can't wait to see this movie!
I'm not impressed with the 4K transfer and that's not even talking about the color timing... it's a little too grainy for me it looks better on shudder, I understand it's higher resolution but after seeing Cemetery man that's what I expect every time after that 😮
That’s fair and valid enough! I can respect that.
Hell yeah! I just got mine as well and it's amazing!
A funny thing happened with the sound watching this movie. As I walked to my receiver to check if it was Dolby Atmos I noticed it read DTS. As I stood up as the movie played I heard a loud thump sound coming from my 2nd floor above me. The loud noise freaked me out for a second but then right away I noticed it was my ceiling speakers. I then thought it must be DTS X or my receiver is able to squeeze some ceiling speaker noise out of this 5.1 movie. Sometimes certain movies Dolby Atmos you can barely hear the upper speakers it gets drowned out by lower speakers. This movie had EXCELLENT sound making the movie much more fun and creepier.
Great review. Keep up the good work
Much appreciated!
Do you have a soundbar or theater setup?
All 3 of us have both.
@FromScreenToShelf do a video. Some people scam and don't have any
Don’t know what that has to do with anything. I don’t know what a “scam” would entail. And I don’t know what posting a video about what I assume to be the audio set ups of all 3 of us would solve. You can be listening to movies through headphones for all anyone cares. As long as you’re watching and enjoying movies is all that matters. Cheers and have a wonderful night.
Luxurious
Theres so many people i can't wait to show this movie to.
Hidden gem of a movie. So glad it got the second sight treatment. Thanks for showing it off guys.
Jim! You’re the man! Thanks for checking the video out dawg 🤘
Love uour reviews and thoughts, i really like 5 but thats more for the comedy (Ethel is amazing) and the nudity is hilarious. Part 6 us genuinely a good film, best tommy portrayal for me and the final girl megan is great as well. Part 7 is comedy gold as well.. the lead male was an out gay actor so didnt gel well with Lar hence the awkwardness. Part 8 is trash really... Jason on a boat and lacking in good kills although the boxing scene is funny. Plus when he chucks that girl on the dancefloor like a bag of trash😂 Jason goes to hell is unwatchable for me. Looking forward to the next part and final films in the franchise
In the first film there was the most gory kill I’ve ever seen in horror, Pamala slits that woman’s throat that was insane.
Pamela doesn’t mess around
Part 7 has my second favorite Jason, Freddy vs Jason had a great portrayal of Jason that’s my 1st favorite and my third would be part 6. I like Roy’s portrayal of Jason the color change was great.
Great episode fellars. I love part 5 and 6 but 7 and 8 are probably my least favorites of the two. Can’t wait for the last 4, that’ll be an interesting episode
Brilliant thanks guys for doing this as loved part one of your reviews and thoughts! Will post some comments once i have listened to it all. 🎉
Walmart in my area has about 5 shelves which is pretty impressive. Thankful that they have completes of classic cartoon network shows and such for a decent price
Cool! I want to pay a crazy amount of money for some useless cardboard! Screw the movie itself!? I just want paper with colored ink printed on it!
Hell yeah brother!
They're try to get rid of it.
I just got this cant wait to see it.....Thank you for letting us know about the disc replacement....
One of the best movie 👌
Great Argento classic. Should receive my "corrected" disc from Severin too. - Mid September.
Hell yeah! Glad they’re doing that process automatically with no need to fill something out.
I will never understand the blind praise im hearing for Romulus. Everyone is praising Romulus for exact same issues that they constantly trash Prometheus and Covenant. The characters are flat and forgettable. The writing for them is nonexistent most of the time. The acting is completely dispassionate... or talentless, however you want to look at it. The fan service is completely inappropriate for a serious Alien film. Not even Resurrection stooped so low as to directly quote older, better movies in the franchise. As a fan, the "Get away from her you b****" line was completely insulting. How or why would they try to cheapen Ripleys glorious moment in Aliens?? This is how i rank the franchise: Aliens Alien Prometheus Alien Covenant Alien Resurrection AVP Alien Romulus Alien 3 AVP: Requiem
Prometheus was a solid movie, just not one I would watch again. I cannot rank AVP higher than this. It’s above Resurrection for me too. Still thinking about this movie and whether or not the last part of it worked for me. Going to have to watch it again
Oh and no steenbok section, just one heamrer and their from time to time
My local and nearby Walmart have destroyed their physical media movie area, it's 3 selfs now the new releases, wich they take 3 weeks to restock, abd Teo of other, mostly dvd box sets that hey don't restock often at all
I’m sorry to hear this, it’s very disheartening. They need to do better!
Great review. I 100% agree. Fantastic picture quality but the Dolby Atmos really stands out!
One of the points you bring up is that Maxine does succeed and becomes famous, whereas Pearl fails to do so, and that you did not like that aspect. I actually liked that they didn't do that, because that story has already happened. You now have to people who desperately want to become famous and both are willing to go to extremes for it, but one succeeds and the other doesn't, which to me actually depicts the cutthroat Hollywood point better. It shows that you might be willing to go to extremes, but that doesn't decide whether or not you'll make it in Hollywood. Maxine's succes was technically down to luck, because her father killed her costar.
One of us did like the fact that Pearl did not “make it” and Maxine did. I think it was supported by the fact that Maxine was willing to sacrifice everything. Pearl spent the rest of her life longing for something she’d never have or get the chance to obtain again. Maxine made it, but sacrificed everything else to get there, and has to live with the fact that if/when her career ends, she will have nothing left to live for.
