The only time Lisa was happy was with Michael Jackson.. too bad Priscilla got into her head and made her paranoid about him, MJ was NOT an addict.. but her paranoia & PTSD about having lost Elvis due to drugs, when MJ was hospitalised and assumed it to be drugs, even when the doctors told her otherwise. Lisa ended up sabotaging all her relationships.

Spa guy and Suzanne talk too much. It isn’t a discussion of four, but only two. The story is incredibly tragic and many truths are finally out: namely, Priscilla’s boyfriend abused Lisa and Priscilla did nothing, instead added more heart ache by ignoring the sexual abuse. It’s criminal!! Both Edwards and Priscilla deserve jail time.

I don’t think so about Ginger.if so, why didn’t she reveal that in her book? I don’t blame Ginger but what we heard they were fighting about was Ginger not wanting to go on tour or staying at Graceland or going to Nashville. Billy Smith said that Elvis was saying that Ginger acts like she doesn’t want to be here.

Not dismissing Edwards but first, he is denying what Lisa says and he’s saying what he wrote in his book he embellished because the publisher urged him to. Also in an interview with Howard Stern she said that when she told her mother about Edwards being inappropriate to her, it was “a battle” and Priscilla kicked him out. So which story is true? What she told Howard Stern or what is in her book?

I think Ginger was there for the attention and the "perks". Elvis just used her as a caregiver and a trophy piece. A 42 year old drug infested man can offer nothing to a 19-20 year old beauty queen except being a sugar daddy. All those drugs, i doubt that he could satisfy her sexual needs. She sought companionship from others outside Graceland. Lisa knew Ginger was using her father.

I shattered my elbow in 2009 and had to have surgery and was prescribed first a Dilaudid IV and then I was put on Oxy and then Percocet and I could take Ibuprofen with the Percocet. I never felt high on any of these but I noticed that the Ibuprofen helped the pain better than the Percocet so I stopped the Percocet and I went into severe withdrawal symptoms. I knew I could stop the withdrawal symptoms by starting up the Percocet again but I knew I would get caught in the cycle of addiction. Also I have no one in my family that had any addiction problems so the opioids definitely do change your brain chemistry whether you are predisposed to addiction or not.

The lady offers more accurate and helpful information. The Spa Guy needs to quiet down and listen to the book. His information is lacking accuracy.

Lisa Marie was a damaged imperfect woman who never grew up.

It was a difficult read for me being a big Elvis fan and watching Lisa grow up. I loved it…then it shocked me and I could feel a lot of Lisa’s pain and Riley’s concern and care for her mom and brother and siblings. Hearing about Michael Edwards, and I have heard this before. Priscilla’s book Elvis and me and the, I believe, Michael (wanted his 5 minutes of fame) and wrote Elvis, Priscilla and me!! Geeez. Somewhere there were hints of him liking Lisa at a young age…..whatever that means….not good….geeez. Elvis would’ve literally killed somebody had he been alive!!! Poor Ben…..his friend said after Bens death that Ben blamed Scientology….and said it screws kids up. Not sure this was the reason for his depression and substance abuse…..could be though! I do believe with all my heart that Lisa found love and fulfillment with her kids! I believe that 100%. Riley knows her mom. She said there was nothing they didn’t discuss. I trust her story and everything she does with EPE. Thank God she is in charge. I do feel Lisa’s stress and depression was felt by her kids. Some can let it roll off, but I think Ben felt it and didn’t know what to do in life. I know he liked music….and these people were so gorgeous and photogenic they all could have modeled for Ralph Lauren and had incredible lucrative careers!! I wish they would have! How awesome it would have been to see them all in ads modeling clothes etc. God rest their souls. Added note….Priscilla is not perfect…no one is……and had Elvis not wanted her early on he would have never kept her around or married her. My feeling is Elvis didn’t do would he didn’t want to do. So to the people that say Elvis had to marry her…..but I don’t believe a minute of it. He loved her and he didn’t want her to leave……and I feel for Priscilla because he had lots of other women ….I couldn’t have done it either……you can’t survive in a marriage like that. So sad and depressing

My friend committed suicide. He said he would many times and he did. Substance abuse can affect your mental health. Coming down can send a person into a downward mental state. Also, some drugs cause hallucinations. If anyone you know threatens to harm themselves or ask for mental help, please, help them. Because loosing someone you love is hard and even harder when they do it to themselves. Suicide does not have a pattern, is not predictable and in some cases silent killer, but some people do threaten it multiple times before harming themselves. I truly feel sorry for Lisa Marie. Her life was a fish bowl for the Word to see. Protected somewhat, but very visible to the World at the same time. My heart breaks from her sadness. Addiction is not prejudice...money, culture, race all experience it. I know, hear say, about Elvis, Vernon and Gladys from my family that knew them. I will share that my Grandma said that Gladys was very close to Elvis. Elvis's Parents were like my Grandparents trying to survive with little education and hard work. Unless you live that culture or been exposed to it, it is hard to understand. Thank you all for sharing your thoughts!

Sry... Lisa had her own identify /successes. Priss cut her off at the knees every chance she got. What kind of mother publicly says "yaaay two down!!!" About her daughter's second divorce... ???? Lisa can be the patron saint of all those who have mean mammas. 😉

The blood imbalance found post mortem would account for Lisa looking stones at that awards show. Former users /medical ppl recognized that was not drugs- we were looking at a very ill woman. Not that many drugs in her system. Dx levels.

Priscilla has a well self carved out image that is not exactly truthful about her and about her and Elvis. I know they met when she was 13 and did not see Elvis again until a short visit at 16. So for three years they were not together and she moved in at just about 18. At 18 she was at Graceland while Elvis was filming in LA and not home for weeks per month. So how did Elvis rob her of her teenage years & groom her? She was not with Elvis all those teenage years.

Did Lisa or Ben ever go to a 12step rehab? Hazelton model... not Malibu model.

Just like Elvis you could see that Lisa was a very nice person. Maybe to nice and kind. I find it hard to get sympathie for Priscilla when you know that your daughter has been abused and doing hardly nothing. And the things Priscilla did do to Elvis!

Mike Edwards wrote in his own book that he lost it after Lisa marie. Lisa Marie has made comments over the years that he was disgusting. You only have to put two and two together. Priscilla admitted she was a crappy mother. Everyone knows that Priscilla basically shoved Lisa Marie to family and nannies after Elvis died and then dragged her into Scientology which Elvis was totally against. So it's not shocking to me that the book reveals what a crappy mother Priscilla was. It's only shocking to those people that have been living in denial about this money hungry greedy woman

It's what all addicts do, run people off. And Lisa having predisposed addiction problems, she should never have been given opioids after the C-Section of her twins. That's how many MANY people get addicted to them, they're prescribed them for pain and then they're hooked. It's very sad. I'm watching as I type this, I hope you get to the part of Priscilla's boyfriend sexual abusing Lisa and Priscilla did nothing. She stayed with him from 78-84. The guy even wrote about it in his book in the 80's. Sickening. AND, Lisa died from a small bowel obstruction from bariatric surgery years before, that caused cardiac arrest. It happens. Had she sought medical treatment for it prior she may still be alive. She lost weight because she wasn't retaining any fat or nutrients.

I read the book and liked it but there was a lot missing! Nicholas Cage, Michael Lockwood, money issues, lawsuits, Priscilla (their relationship at the end), Scientology (was she still part of it?), her real with Navarone, the Elvis Movie! So much more I wanted to know!

I’m reading the book at the moment, and I never got from the book that Lisa’s reference to Ginger being in full make-up and dressed up to the nines was at the time Elvis was found. The way I interpreted it was that Lisa made reference to this when everyone was gathered together in a room afterwards waiting for news from the hospital about Elvis or they had just gotten the news about his passing. I could be wrong but that’s how I read it. Wouldn’t this mean then that some time would have elapsed from when Elvis was rushed to the hospital to when news of his passing reached all those back at Graceland? If Ginger had got herself all made-up during that waiting timeframe, then I don’t think there’s anything particularly wrong about that - perhaps she was aiming to look nice in anticipation of Elvis coming home or of her going to see him in the hospital, it probably never crossed her mind he was deceased. Also, I did note a contradiction when Lisa first makes reference to Ginger. She says she didn’t mind Ginger but then that she didn’t like her, in the same sentence. That’s contradictory, imo, you either *do* mind someone - meaning you don’t like them, or you *don’t* mind someone - meaning you like them, or at least are ok with that person! I don’t know if Ginger was truly in love with Elvis at that time, perhaps she would have been if they’d have had longer together, so maybe Lisa did have a point there as children can be very perceptive. But, I do believe she did care about him and I agree with Susanne that perhaps the rows Lisa overheard were Ginger standing up to Elvis about his health. Also, the way Lisa mentions Elvis asking *her* if she’d seen Ginger is very telling about how much Elvis was smitten with Ginger.

I had pre ordered the book and got it the day it came out. I am re reading it again. As I am in the UK it is edited on the Edwards abuse part. I still don't know WHY Priscilla was at Graceland with Riley she had no need to be there. This is Lisa's and Riley's moment. Riley was telling PP 'It's in the book.' Showing that P has not read the book, how embarrassing. I would like to hear the Audio. I also think Riley is Keough and not Presley, I think that has helped Riley's career l agree with you Trey.

Ben was doing molly, which is a drug that can make you hallucinate. And can bring out deep depression. Plus, cocaine and now with that pink cocaine which is upper and downers mixed with cocaine ‼️🙄

The book exposes why lisa marie struggled with so much. She lost her father young, Priscilla was a non existant mother. And seemed to resent lisa and having to care for her. Also didn't protect her like a mother should. Very sad.

Just a thought folks. I would like to share with you. You said two kids same family but so different. Do you think while with Michael it was during the his time of legal troubles. Now just a thought. The door Elvis met Lisa at the night before he died was the door which sits under the steps in the jungle room which lead from the sun deck. I agree with Susanne about arguments could be because Ginger was trying to help Elvis. Ginger made a statement about some of Lisa's book. We don't know who is telling the truth or if Priscilla had something to do with it. No idea. I also agree with Susanne about the downstairs room that Jerry would sleep in. It's covered in an episode of Gates of Graceland.

Without Priscilla we would not have Graceland as it is today. I think Lisa was mentally ill after years of drug and alcohol abuse. The apple doesn’t fall from the tree I took it all with a grain of salt. Riley saw too much and probably needs a lot of help. Riley had a co dependent relationship with her Mom you can hear it. She became the parent. This is just my opinion. Still a die hard Elvis fan and appreciate all Priscilla did for his legacy. Thank you Spa Guy for all you do.
