Because there is a God, He will speak truth to you through these two books. You can later listen to how Satan has tried to combat these truths but all this with the obvious complexity of life and I believe you will have a level playing field. By the way get a modern microbiology text book and read through four chapters so you have a good grasp of just how complex life is.
