It’s a common mistake as the speedometer gear housing has two protrusions which look like they should fit over the pin on the fork leg, which doesn’t allow it to move when the wheel spins, but the metal fork pin actually sits between where the cable enters the housing and the first protrusion on the gear housing.

🇦🇺😎👍The Big Suzuki 650 asaurass🏁..and don’t they give you asaurass particularly on the long trips. .. Get the stainless header pipe mate. In Australia we call them barkbusters..If you don’t want to change the seat just get a black sheepskin like on my bike....The big DRs have been banned in Australia. Everything gets eventually banded down here…Get yourself the black plastic 20 litre tank…Our DRs didn’t get that silly valve at the front of the engine…I put a flat side carburettor on mine. It goes like a rocket ship now…like your wheel choice🏁…get the suspension done mate, you won’t look back

Update on the Anakee Wilds. Somehow I picked up a deck screw in one of the center lugs of the back tire and it punctured the tube, I was just going for a quick ride and didn't have any tire tools or a spare tube. The tire is so stiff that I was able to ride it out and get to a nearby shop without issue and I'm 230lbs. It didn't even feel sketchy but I was going really easy. So far I'm pretty impressed with these tires.

When I first got my DR 650 back in 2016 I did the Pro Cycle kit and airbox mods along with a Hayabusa muffler and Pro Cycle mid pipe kit. Sounded good and ran much better than stock but I did take a hit to the mpg. Completely unrelated: I might be wrong but it seems like you have your handle bar in the factory position 🤔 I have a 2022 DR and when I bought it (used) that’s how the handle bar was. It felt so awkward standing up !
