      Hi. Thank you for your comment. Regarding your problem with getting bits of dust etc. try to spray water on the floor around, use tacky cloth and try to keep it clean as much as you can. I get bits as well, it's a part of garage painting unfortunately. Once again thank you for your comment

      Hi. At the moment, for small repairs like this, I use 1k primer, and it is mipa 1k n45 and you can mix it with 1k plastic primer instead of thinners.

    Great job mate. I noticed you never use a plastic adhesive promoter on your bumpers ? I presume it’s a personal choice thing as many don’t seem to . Do you get much crap in your clear not having a booth ? I have a small DIY booth in my garage , all sheeted off and deep cleaned before I spray , yet I get so much crap in the clear it’s driving me mad , even wet the floor but still no change .

    • @SprayiTSMARTRepairs
      @SprayiTSMARTRepairs 2 місяці тому

      Hi. I do use plastic adhesive, but not often. More likely for new parts. Primer I use its also designed to spray plastics (that's what tds say) never had any problems. I spray Primer after 320 grit sanding so it's stick better. Some people add plastic adhesive into the Primer as a thinner. I do get a few bits of dust or dirt, but not much, to be honest. If you do get 1500 wet sanding, then trizact 3000 and polish it off. I had a bit of problems with water condensation in the compressor tank, replaced the air filter for a sata one, and all problems so far gone.

    Great job as usual mate. Took the plunge and ordered my new hydro paint scheme today, can’t wait to give it a test. I had a couple of questions regarding the hydro - can you use anything else in place of hf900 to make it cheaper ? Also wondered what your palm sander is ? I have a Mirka air one but I really want to change to electric

      Hi. Thank you for your comment. Regarding hf900, you use around 10% of your mix, so it is not too bad. You'll need lechler map 4 app to mix colours. And my sander is a metabo 5" electric and its a same as mirka electric byt slightly cheaper. I'm very happy with it, really good quality.
