Empty Net is a Risky Business plot John Hughes redux about a goalie billet player chasing the vicarious dreams of his father, a pro who made the ECHL and suffered a career ending injury in his first start in the AHL. Connor Brickly has been very successful as a former College and NHL player as a High School coach. He has a wagon at Nauset.
Kent will not be #2
Paul Mac is a legend, best in the biz!
Why was there no MIAA Girls section?
I play there
John is right. The days of Mass having a Minnesota-style model are over, sad as it is. We need to lean in to the new reality and create a kind of "NTDP East" to stay competitive. I've long thought that the largely Midwestern footprint of the USHL and NTDP has hurt exposure for Mass kids.
High school hockey is dying because many of the coaches/school programs don't care enough to put the time in necessary to win I coached JV high school in Mass for 5 years then went to coach Jrs this years and the difference in training is drastic not saying it's the school I worked for but many Massachusetts high schools and many coaches working for them need to put more time and effort in if they really cared about making their schools more attractive to talented hockey players but they don't and that's why prep schools, AAA programs and Jrs are often times more attractive options due to resources and coaching I loved the old school high school style of play in Mass but I saw many programs are beginning to lose players now (look at Swampscott)
Great segment!!
And Denver just took you both out at the Frozen 4!
Oh, shut up.
I am happy that BC and BU simultaneously had great seasons. Saying that they are the greatest college rivalry is a stretch. I would say MSU&UM is the best but would open the floor to both being "one of the best"..anyway the 1v2 BCBU mic'd up documentary made Cellebrini look like a punk. I wouldn't draft him. Too much of a project.
Haley Joel Celebrini.
🎊 "PromoSM"
Interesting comment on the hockey not being as good as years past...why is that the case in your opinion??
@yaz For Hockey movies you missed 2 fairly big ones. Youngblood and Mystery Alaska.
What makes BC and BU different programs is how they got here. The history of BC hockey is one dedicated to the American hockey players, BU abandoned the American players and had nearly all Canadian players. I think BC should get more credit than it does for their basically sticking with the Americans. I think Canadians playing for BC now appreciate the heritage of Boston College.
But only Denver has 10 National Titles....not to mention 19 Frozen 4s.
@@JasonSmith-pe5py Congratulations, you deserve it
Ive always been a BU fan. Grew up in same town as Pandolfos and Billy Pierce. Do BU fans cheer for BC in Frozen Four or am i the only one?
Didn't matter-we beat ya both-lol.
BC is a bunch of Entitled nerds
Compared to the Flyers, I'll take it.
This is awesome. Hopefully you guys at NEHJ get a chance to do a couple more interviews before the Beanpot. My suggestion: Mr. Jamie Armstrong. He played for BU and then transferred to BC and he has had a good year so far for BC. Would be interesting to hear his thoughts.
Go BC!
Promo_SM
great podcast.
Who’s the sexy man in the staart
I watched these guys here in Colorado Springs a few years back. I was the only person wearing red in a sea of Airforce Blue. Sacred Heart won on a last second goal. It was great! Go Sacred Heart!!

Jerry York has been a "class act" since the 1960's and his days as Captain of the BC High Hockey team. Boston College was fortunate to have Jerry as a hockey player and eventually hired him as their coach. Congratulations Jerry !!... You were an inspiration to many athletes not just hockey players.... Thank you for your leadership not only as a coach but also as a man. I am delighted by your success because your success has always fueled me to achieve as well. Thank you.
