Indeed, Rallycross tracks would need some specific cars, but those GTRs are already a blast and extremely fun while there is not yet the massive update they will bring !

This is the standard AC track, and they do not allow the tracks to be driven reverse, so no, never tried

yeah, the sounds were crazy ! The physics were already quite nice, and driving the Blackwood rallycross with knobbly tires was a great challenge for humans (the Finn looked like fine at doing it, but it was really hard :D )

J'en ai la moitié, mais je fais déjà parti des vieux et de loin :D :D ! Donc l'âge ne joue pas ^^. Il faut prendre son temps et attaquer doucement entrée afin de maîtriser au mieux la sortie (c'est la base : faut jamais louper la sortie, sinon on perd du temps en sortie ET sur la ligne droite ou l'enchaînement qui suit => il vaut donc mieux ne perdre que du temps en entrée, sinon la sentence est violente ! ). Donc pour bien débuter je dirais qu'il faut se caler à 5m de plus en freinage (voir 10-15 si pas d'ABS), 3km/h de moins à la corde et augmenter progressivement la cadence en trouvant au mieux la bonne trajectoire :)) .

Bon conseil. Comme tu es mon seul " ami" AC, je risque de t'en demander d'autres... J'espère que ça ne t'embête pas. Je suis en balade pour quelques jours. Je m'y remets à mon retour et peut-être nous retrouverons nous sur un circuit. Bonne journée. Alain

Merci, c'est gentil ;) . Sur ces simus auto, en général il n'y a pas de mystère : il faut beaucoup s'entraîner avant de trouver les subtilités à mettre en place pour aller vite. Après certains tracés sont plus ou moins évident quand on débute. Celui-ci n'est pas vraiment idéal à mon sens (grandes courbes qui se resserrent à la sortie, etc...), même si j'avoue beaucoup l'apprécier (je m'y vois :D ). Je pense que Magione est plus adéquat par exemple : facile à mémoriser, des virages lents où il faut doser l'accélérateur et où on apprend mieux ce que l'on peut tirer de la voiture avant d'attaquer les circuits plus subtils pour utiliser les bonnes trajectoires. Bon courage, et bon choix d'attaquer Assetto Corsa :)

Hello. Difficult to tell you what is not "correct" in your laps without seeing them, but as per your laptime it sounds that you may practive first your lines. Try to brake 10m earlier than what you see in the video above, reduce the cornering speed by 10kmph, and try to always keep the best line while accelrating gently. After few laps you should begin to understand how it is working and what you can do. Increase gradually the speed and begin to brake later progressively. The matter is always to understand what your inputs will have on the car, and then you will be able to be quicker. NB : the best is most probably to be consistent first, then to improve by learning and understanding how it is working !

No, the game is proposing the McLaren (MP4 12C, P1, 570S) with open differential only (this is not part of the setup). So the cars are not very interesting to drive in my opinion. IRL, McLaren use the steer brake system ; basically a smart braking is applied on the inside wheel to help to turn in (this is working well in AC), and to limit the open differential crap in corner output it applies brakes on a spinning wheel (like Porsche is doing for their cheaper model : cayman, etc... instead of putting a real LSD). This allows to not have the inside wheel spinning massively when exiting a corner, like you can see in the video. I have posted this on AC forums, and it has been tagged "AS DESIGNED", meaning the developers have coded the stuff to behave like this and are satisfied. I think it is wrong, but ... not in my hands :D . I did the same several time ago for the 458 wich was having the same bad thing, and now it is fixed (it still has lots of flaws, but the car is quite interesting anyway). If you use a TC level on, the effect is less 'visible', but the car is not bahving properly at all neither, and is ridiculously slow when exiting corners ...

Lol :) . Thanks. This car is indeed a nice choice. Quite slow on straights, but it is carrying so much speed in the corners, that it remains quite fast and has a quite good balance beetween handling, traction, engine power, etc ... ! Do not know if it is the same IRL

I remember having spent some times on the great monza 66 (not 67 :P ), but unfortunately it seems it is in a not compatible version with the current one ...I fear that the replays won't work ...

in fact I checked during lunch time and the replays can be read. I will try to remember to upload some of them next week.

gear ratio is unfortunately not to be modified on those road cars :) . Only race cars can get this advantage ! In AC, this gallardo heavily modified is reaching 350kmph (rev limiter in 6th gear ...)

Thanks for that, I manage to improve to a 1:10.851 still off your pace but major improvement from my previous best. Still a bit uncomfortable with the car but it's much better. Now to try get the awful 12C GT3 into the 1:10's... even it's current WR is a 1:11.063

congrats for the GT-R :) . For the 12C, when you see Ben Cornett doing 1.11.0, let's suppose it will not be easy to go lower easily :D

Thx mate. I did some laps yesterday on the combo you mentionned, and I was only able to get sub 1.11 ... but I think this beast can go quicker by a consequent margin ! If I can improve a bit, I will take the time to put a video of it :)
