Don't use cheap import consumer generators for critical business use, you should be buying Honda or Yamaha for this sort of application

Low oil shutoff or CO shutdown. If it’s the CO there should be a light that will blink for 15-20 seconds after shutdown. I have multiple Champion gems and some are more sensitive than others,even the same models. I actually bypassed the CO by snipping a wire cause I can’t have random shutdowns,I only use the gens outside far from a residence.

Lucky you showed us the cause of the problem; My portable generator is designed so the intake grille for the airflow is designed to draw the air over the electronic inverter providing the cooling for this part. The cover is designed to not let cooling air in the generator compartment exept from the inlet grille, if i remove one or both of the side covers the inverter ( the aluminum part with the cooling fins ) is not force cooled and may overheat and hopefully shut the generator down before it fails. Have a look at this possibility, good luck with the enterprise

you are doing the island wrong way. it should be long side along the longer side. so basically rotated 90 degrees. with ledge being towards the closet if you want to keep that ledge.

Why cut at an angle ?

Always turn off power to work on switches dude, no testing or nothing. Even if you doing a recreation purposes video, safety ALWAYS comes first and you might make someone thinking is ok and have an accident because saw you doing the wrong way. God bless you and good luck.
