Our parents had an old Dodge chassis Chinook they drove from San Diego to British Columbia the year of Seattle World's Fair. It had a fold down sink like an old railway compartment. It was still running when a drunk ran into the rear and totalled it.

The water fill and flush hoses are leaking on the ground at my camp sites when I’m hooked up at campsites. To fix it I need to cut the window glue attaching it to the side of the van that they cut a hole in to glue it to.

2024 chinook The glued on pleather finish is falling off the plywood boards after less than a year 😢 I keep pressing it back on.

I’ve been fixing my new 2024 Chinook TB for over a year now and I’m tired. I just found out that the the Girard awning controller box installed in the rear cabinet is full of water from a roof leak running down the wire into the rear cabinet it was installed in. Then I found out that.Girard has been out of business for a while and no longer has replacement parts available.

Wait, I thought this brand was dead. It was around in the early 2000s and suddenly, POOF! Gone without a trace. Nothing. Couldn't find even a scrap of information about it online no matter where I looked. Did someone buy the brand and shut down the production line for a while? They were gone for soooo long that I even forgot the name! What was going on the last twenty years??

Johnny had the ability to make everything funny. He could work both sides of the isle and make you laugh. The so called late night host today have no clue. Carson didn't need a laugh track, his jokes were funny.

I sold mine and bought a 27’ coach house built like chinook but missed the smaller design, so I bought a 71 18 on Chevy g30 now restoring it and can’t wait to get her done

Sometimes I think the greatest tragedy of Johnny's inevitable departure is that current generations won't really ever be able to understand what a true talk show host was. They're fixated on the silly games and shallow commentary the current group of hosts engage in and like all new generations do I suppose, they too regard something like Carson's Tonight Show to be a relic of a square generation. But those of us who got to see Johnny perform know exactly why he pulled in tens of millions of viewers every. single. night. for DECADES.
