An animated bar plot of daily growth in COVID-19 cases by state. States are sorted and color-coded by region, using the Census Bureau's classifications for regions (usa.ipums.org/usa-action/variables/REGION#description_section). Case growth is measured as a 7-day moving average of new reported cases/100,000 population. Data are via Johns Hopkins University: github.com/CSSEGISandData/COVID-19/tree/master/csse_covid_19_data/csse_covid_19_time_series.
