Shadow Priest Single Target PTR Tier 21 + S2M (Shadow Priest damage in execute phase)

Demonstrating what Shadow can do with the new tier 21 set bonus Surrender to madness to the low health dummy, simulating what a fight would look like for a S2M shadow priest in the execute phase (when boss has less than 35% health). The only thing that is different from live is the set bonus which I replaced, using 2p from ToS and 4p from Antorus. Video is inspired by Viklund

What casting bar do you use? What talents do you use with S2M too?
I'm not quite sure about this thought, but haven't you used your Sephuz once? Wouldnt it increase your dmg by a lot aswell? Let's say the global before VT to secure the drain till the bomb explodes.
Dennis G You can't proc your sephuz on a dummy, the point of this video is to demonstrate the single target dps, because on some boss fights like Goroth, Fallen Avatar, you can't proc sephuz at all, procing it on a critter or something would make the DPS unrealistic, and sephuz is still our best option for ST because of the passive haste
why only use VT once ?
You save it for when your insanity drops low (which is rng based on how many tentacles you will have) and you use it as a way to refill your insanity with your spirits hits generating insanity back.
yeah but surely in terms of insanity generation you'll still be able to reach 3 VT so your missing out on a lot of dmg
just realised as well 3 VT is probs not possible now they nerfed the 4 set
sonny young You don't know when you are going to need it because of the rng spawn of tentacles, and since it's more important to stay in VF as long as possible, missing on a few points of damage is not that big of a deal.

Not bad.. but you'll never be able to reach that during a boss fight in heroic or mythic cuz of the hectic movement.
S2M lets you cast while moving so this is somewhat doable in my opinion.
Yeah i know, but i meant situational movements. Dealing with tactics and/or adds. anything +60 stacks will be very cruical. just by switching targets u lose about half a second and that would be so bad. I believe S2M is screwed over by Blizzard and it would never be valuable ever again until they fix it.
It depends on the types of mechanics that blizzard will put in the new raid. If we have a Goroth type of fight I can definitely see S2M being used as the best tallent for the fight.
