Thank you for watching, I’m still about halfway done with my Portland OR mod trip. Will be doing individual videos on each vendor I go to while here. Probably the best idea is to contact each vendor and ask them about the work they performed on my rig to see if those mods would work for what all you have planned to use it for. I tend to get more than I need as I also have my rig on display at Adventure Van Expos out West.

It is a long drive, but worth it!

He is very familiar with my build, he can quote you the exact duplicate of my build. Just mention my name. I will say I’m on a huge road trip right now from East TN to Portland Oregon then to Mesa Arizona then Big Bend Texas then back home. Right now I’m at a Loves truck stop overnight West of Kansas City Missouri. I have driven my Ekko now for a few thousand miles since having them installed, and so far very happy with the ride. I’m keeping my suspension set at 3 while driving on the interstate for now. For sure get the bigger fuel tank and at least get the extra battery. I probably will upgrade the power inverter later on in the year.

Soon... nobody will look at it and think "Tiffin made an Ekko," though. Imagine a Wayfarer and a GH1 had a baby.

Lots of PEX to flex transitions because we use as much PEX as possible and only use flex when necessary to navigate tight spaces and reduce the overall number of fittings used, as every fitting is a potential failure point. Some fittings are plastic and some are brass, it just depends on the specific situation. We read every warranty report to identify design issues. As a result we have swapped out some of the plastic fittings on the aqua hot that are known to have issues with brass ones, use PEX on the heat exchanger, etc. We aren't perfect and there are always errors when humans make anything so we can't guarantee a leak-free system. But we have used our warranty reports and the online GH1 groups to identify as many leaks as possible over the last two years and solve every single weak spot in the design of the system, and we are continuing to do that every week. Same process applies for electrical and every other system in the van.

If everybody was putting the same gear on, then sure. But you'd be forcing everyone to pay for all of that gear regardless of if they needed it. A biker, skiier, hiker, remote worker, etc will all be mounting different gear in different spots. Tiffin provides the platform for customization based on needs. Also, all but one of those parts aren't even from owl... only the rear door bracket is owl-specific and it does not interfere with other brands of rear door hardware. Owl-Ready certification is an endorsement of overall product quality, not a financial partnership.

@@treyedwards490 The Owl gear goes on the van, right? Every Sprinter is Owl certified then. It's just a gimmick. Nothing against Owl because I have all their gear on my van and love it. Best quality gear, fantastic, helpful employees and zero complaints. Tiffin ran a cable and drilled a hole. Hardly earth shattering. Good idea though. I'd like to know exactly what kind of changes they made for the gas tank upgrade. Hardly earth shattering there too. Every van needs quality sidesteps, ladder and spare tire carrier no matter what you're into. Why not throw those on there if Tiffin wanted the endorsement of Owl?

@@aa-ron9314 every upfitted van has different modifications that make various aftermarket parts more or less expensive (or impossible) to install. The owl-ready certification is saying that the GH1 is the _most_ compatible with aftermarket parts meaning the lowest install costs and times. A lot of pipes and hoses and tanks etc often have to be moved or modify to make room for the 45 gallon tank, for example.
