Apparently, Focus on the Family (the company that created Adventures in Odyssey) made a big deal over this scene and used it as an example of how morally corrupt the show is. However, they’re wrong because this episode was obviously showing that everyone (except Mr. Burns) was shocked by Bart’s “prayer".
Great band.. ❤❤❤❤❤
OK this would be f**k up if someone actually says this on Thanksgiving or Christmas or any dinner.
Dude! Thank you. I've been trying to find this song on UA-cam for a while. Had a copy of the CD a looooong time ago that I downloaded. This is an absolute banger of a track.
Barts got a point tho 💀
Wow, that's a pretty good song! the full album would be great for sure.
That's amazing, I'm listening to this while drawing a commission and this is helping me a lot :D
Bart is so right.
0:03 Every American atheist who says grace
You done all this before
@@FrenchToasted1995 I am a Christian and I never said this prayer before! Bart should know better!
Great song 😍
Icônico isso brother
God is like the boss who puts all the blame on you when things go wrong and takes all the credit for your work when things go right.
Even when things go wrong God gets credit for working in mysterious ways or teaching a lesson. That drove me crazy.
amazing song🥰
It's doesn't get more real than that 😁🤣
Bart is absolutely, positively 100% CORRECT!
SMARTEST THING ANYONE COULD SAY!!!
0:08: I love how one of the dudes in Burns’ camera crew is actually smiling after Bart’s remark, it’s like he agrees with him.
Take 2
Aww I was hoping this would start world war three in the comments like the other one did
Hilarious. I love how the joke has also started a fight between r/atheist commenters and sensitive religious people. It’s great to watch two idiots fight over a joke
The usual attitude of an atheist is: "We have done everything without the Lord. What is the point of thanking him?" Logically. Often I ask myself the same question, until I remember the teachings from the scripture and say: "Thank you for this."
Sorry but I bought my food, God didn't do jack.
@@tylermcneeley3136 So? Well, you bought the food yourself, so what?
@@tylermcneeley3136Just ignore those guys, they're way too religious to understand anything logical....
The same scripture where God banishes Adam and Eve from paradise for no longer being his hairless pet apes and gain knowledge? The same scripture where God in a fit of anger floods the entire world like a kid dissatisfied with how its sand castle turned out? The same scripture where Lot's wife gets turned into a pillar of salt just for looking back at the city that was her home for decades? The same scripture where a God has a bear maul a bunch of kids to death just over mocking a bald man? The same scripture which speaks of nothing about punishment for basically everything that isn't toil and prayer?
@@tiffyfemboy To have logic means to be able to reasonably and consistently look at things. What exactly prevents a religious person from adding 2 + 2 and coming to a conclusion? Or does an atheistic worldview guarantee the rationality of judgments?

The demons got me to drink on Ramadan!!!! Let's now all have a party my Pagen friends. My God told me it would happen and we are forgiven. 🤣 I am getting drunk on ramadan.
Bart was so real for this.

Errr! No!
Underrated banger of a song.
Why do God like that? He loves us!
He’s out of line but he’s right!
Lmfaoo
This was my dad's favorite bart quote. 😄
Guauuu very good
DANGEROUSLY BASED AND RED PILLED
“Dear God, we pay for all this ourselves so thanks for nothing.”
Dear @Brandon Osgood, we heard this by watching the video so thanks for nothing
@@whatdisd go back to sleep grandpa
Hey how u get this video of me on tape?
LOL 😆
my best friend is a believer. She always gestures that cross before eating anything. Sometimes i mock her and quote bart here lmao
Do you also wear a trench coat and fedora?
@@TheSilentWalkerz Never heard that one before!
Made this prayer, as a kid, during Thanksgiving dinner. Grounded. No Simpsons for a year. And my family isn’t even religious at all.
I did the same. My family IS religious. No Simpsons for life so long as I was in my parents house.
Why you booing him? He’s right!
"Good food, good meat--gettin' late, let's eat!"
"Now get back up and do it right!"
No no, he’s got a point
In the commentary track Matt Groening points out that this scene got them in some troubles with some nut right wing christians
Makes it even better. I grew up in the southern bible, belt but I was a young skeptic. This is one of my earliest memories of something other than god is everything and gives us everything.
tautology
What don't those fruitcakes get mad about?
What episode is this
Well he isn’t wrong
I feel like Mr Burns would say that
Good rice, good curry, good Ghandi, let's hurry.
He's got a point.
