Well…. This is a modified chassis of K9 SpH which was licensed and produced locally by L&T as well. Hence the title ‘integrator’ not ‘developer’. The chassis was developed to withstand 155mm gun, hence 105mm low recoil gun should be manageable. The armour plate is codeveloped by Mittal and Korea, the power pack is going to be either US, Korea or combination as Korea also has indigenous engine and transmission. The track is likely Canadian composite track rather than traditional steel. This is a sensible solution given DRDO has history of development…. not in a good way….
