I have a need to replace just the ring on my recliner/swivel/rocker/glider. The ring on my chair is 24 inches but I need to go down to 22 inches and I see you sell one. My question is, are the predrilled holes in this hardware standard in distance and position? Or in other words, do you think I'll be able to swap these out without any problem?

How do you get in between cushions when tight to where you can get in there?

And then you need a 7/32" drill bit to de-burr the hole for the cable pin. And then you need a dremel or die grinder to grind down the travel stop, because cast molding often doesn't allow the handle to travel far enough to pull the cable enough to release. Quality control on these mass-produced cheapo parts is absolute garbage.

what would be helpful is guidance on how to choose the proper size glider-swivel base with consideration to the measurements for your particular chair. Since the measurements for the glider base go up incrementally by an inch (19.5-23.5) it would seem meaningful to choose the proper size.

What about if you want your upper seat to go further back down?

I was able to replace the cable and the handle. But when I pull the handle something is preventing the foot rest from lifting. If I pull slightly on the foot rest itself, then it opens, if I push on the back of the recliner a little, it also opens. But it doesn't open the way it used to before the handle broke. Any ideas what might be preventing it from working properly?

Can I do the same thing if I have a recliner?

I am elated to find this site because I bought a used Lane double recliner-sofa bed sectional and while I was looking at it to purchase it, the owner snapped the handle off the recliner. Yes, I took it anyway figuring it couldn't be that difficult to fix. It is the flapper kind of handle. Is there an inexpensive way to replace this? I'm currently using needle nose plyers to pull what's left of the handle to the cable. haha. Hope to hear from you. TIA

you can disassemble the swivel glider ring base for swivel only, you need to take off the 4 bolts that go through the top plate of the swivel plate and attach at the 2 Large square tubes on top of the swivel plate. once those 4 bolts have been removed the 2 square tubes (the cross tubes) and the glider mechanisms will come off leaving the ring base and swivel. hope this helps
