Cool product, but my dash is so far gone that the clips in the top of the bezel dont have anything to go into.

If i wasnt changing our 1998 w/t 1500 truck from manual to power i would have bought this for the dash in blue as ours is completly destroyed. But i got another dash i had to repair some areas and going to paint it. But the old dash is destroyed like mentioned and ill be changing the entire wiring harness to power. But next time if i ever buy another OBS vehicle i`ll consider this tremendously.

Do l need to sand paper the smooth surface of the old dash board to roughened it up a bit?

What about the circular light sensor near base center of dash near windshield? Is it covered up? Will it work as before?

Have a 2011 Silverado. Have pieces that are missing on the dash due to cracking. Will this skin still work?

It definitely looks better than the original TL dash but the cuts are not perfect and will leave gaps in some spots but it's still worth it. It's also a bit more difficult than the videos of other models. I used wood strips and pvc pipe to hold certain spots in place while the glue dried. You can use the electric seats to hold them in place overnight.

You could just fix the problem and order a new dash board from LMC truck for $300 buck. It costs more but it fixes the problem, not hide it. You could just make these with mounting tabs as a direct replacement.

I'm original owner of a well-kept '95 4WD Suburban and over the years the dash developed a large crack that started from the center dash screw. All the rattling also took out the clips for the remaining two dash screws. Other than that, the dash was in pretty good shape. I ordered and installed a DashSkin and the transformation was pretty damn awesome...looks like direct from the factory and the color match was perfect. Thankfully, I only have 161k miles on the Suburban so I should get many more years use out if it.

Karehn boomer what are you saying ? You obvs have a classic car that these products designed and meant for newer cars they laserd scan to get correct perfect fit/cut for what ever they are printing. Your not supposed to buy a random one. Every car is different. You’ll see a make, year and model drop down box to pick what exact vehicle you have. So what ever you choose will show it is compatible with your car. It would have told you this don’t fit, . Shouldn’t matter if 90s either because the company site drop down menu went to the 1920’s. So it solidifies that you picked the wrong thing. Even with the many countermeasures to try and stop you from picking the wrong thing on the website. Shouldn’t matter if it has a cassette player or not. If you picked the right model , the cover will fit perfect. Every car gets laser measured or they have the dimensions direct from the car manufacturers. So unless you picked the wrong car on the website,or you just bought a random cover on the site with out picking a car model is only way a mistake like that could happen. It’s literally impossible not to fit. It’s laser measured. Do you know the car MAT company “Weather Tech”. There company laser scans the entire interior of the car. With those measurements the design perfectly fitted car Mats/rugs and other accessories. So only way to get the wrong non fitting item, is to select the wrong car Karehn smh.🙄🤫🫠🫠😶🤯🤯🤯🤣🤣🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️😈😈🫡.
