Ethidium is an electronic music project started in June 2014, and born out of experience I gathered with the MatrixCube project since 1996 (using both hardware and software), and the availability of inexpensive electronic hardware and amazing software.
Whereas Matrixcube was centered around Acid and Electronica (see Matrixcube album videos in my feed) Ethidium is a mix of Deep Techno, Dub Techno and melancholic Electronica.
My setup includes the Makenoise 0-coast, the analogue Korg Volca trio, a Novation Drumstation, 2 MAM MB33, a Korg Monotron Delay, a Ibanez PH-7, a Danelectro Daddy O. and a Alesis Nanoverb.

Ethidium - Berkshire EMOM NOV-2024
Here is a recording from the Berkshire EMOM at the Firefly Bar in Reading, UK from the 10th of November 2024. Unfortunately, the camera gave up as it was getting quite late already but thankfully, the organizer Stuart has taken a few pictures.
It was a very cool venue, and we had ~ 50 people there, and I enjoyed playing enormously! Thanks to everyone who came out and supported 12 fantastic local electronic musicians!

This was a little practice run for the Berkshire EMOM on the 10th of November in Reading. I will most likely dispense with the 303 for the live set, but I hope I can handle the Quadrantid Swarm in a live situation. We will find out :)

Afterglow is a collection of ambient, experimental and technoid soundscapes produced with a modular synthesizer system based around complex oscillators and digital grain and cloud effects. In this set I used Syntakt and Digitakt only. Digitakt draws from a multitude of DFAM, Eurorack and TB03 samples plus a few AI generated voice samples. I will torture Reading EMOM with a similar set on the 24th of April.

To produce some Dandelion Fluff I used Cloudbustin in chord mode to record a chord into arbhar which is running through Wasp Filter and FXAidXL to provide the drone. The bubbly arp is made with Plaits in Snare mode, receiving pitch from the 2hp Arp which is tuned to the chord and follows pitch changes of the chord. In this short session I used the Tesseract Radioactive oscillator in drone mode, with waveform and shape modulated. The drone was running into Arbhar which would record the drone once in a while. Marbles provided V/Oct to arbhar, and arbhar parameters were modulated by Ochd. Another Techno track. I used the DFAM as bass, and tuned everything else to it. The rhythmic bleeps come from Plaits through Clouds and FXAidX, and the Pad comes from Cloudbusting through Arbhar and Wasp Filter. Drums are from Ableton Live.

This is my version of RIngs into Clouds. I've finally caved in and got a used uRings. It's Rings into Clouds in all but name. Rings feeds into Qpas which feeds into Clouds.
