It’s this simple. Taking financial stress out of people can reunite Americans! Why politicians are so blind ? (The answer is very simple.)

too bad there are so few like pr sachs. way too many like trump and biden. too many like obama and clinton, too. homer sap has evolved to tolerate politicians like wildebeest tolerate hyenas. 'not my problem, i'm too fast and agile!' [ until yer a bit old, or twisted ankle ] there is only one practical solution for homer sap, meet someone looks like a politician, or sounds like a politician, cull him. humanely- gather a crowd and stone him.
How can US had a sustainable development strategy when they keep warning, start trade war, start Cold War and sanctioning every country that choose to trade with China or Russia, or Iran, or countries disagreed with US. US military budget had been increased yearly and is the largest in the world compared with more than ten developed country combines. This is not a receipt of of sustainable development.

Dear Professor Jeffrey Sachs. I came to know you and follow your talks on UA-cam. I admire your expertise, your candor, your right purposes, and most of all your high consideration for the human race conditions as a whole a true humanist. Have you ever thought of Presidential Candidacy? I think not only America but a lot of people in the world will benefit if you will be the President of the US. Please consider.
the very first thing to do to make a sustainable development is to forget the term "developing/developed" country. Very simple, sir!!
sustainableliberal elites bullshit agenda...idiot guest
I watched and listened carefully to an "academic" or science based, fact based, numbers based study discussion by a group in West Virginia reviewing the bipartisan infrastructure bill and the Reconciliation bill proposed by President Biden and partly by their Senator Manchin. The positive review was given with palpable excitement and hope for the people of W. Virginia. How does Senator Manchin benefit by jeopardizing both bills actually becoming reality?
METHANE NEUTRAL NO MORE EATING ANIMALS.
Eat people....eat the rich...corrupt polititions and if you kilk a cop in self defense eat them to!!!
America’s ruling elite first called Americans, Citizens, then Taxpayers, and later Consumers. Now we’re just Serfs. The elites make everything about race instead of class, to protect their tax rates and wealth.

More perfectly vile communist propaganda based on lies. Nothing new here just the same old mechanisms to facilitate Deception, extortion, in this crescendo of treachery towards the whole human race. For the greater good no doubt🤮
Reunite what? What separates me from the crowd is not economic. It's educational. Unless you can bring half the country up to the level of a middle school student, we aren't even living on the same planet.
Talking about countries (as in our "country" has decided to lower taxes) is dangerously misleading. Country is a geographic area controlled by a small group of people called the elite. The elite makes all important decision in a country. The US elite (not the "country") decided that taxes would be reduced or that nothing would be done about climate change for 40 years.
You sound like proletariat aka "failure".
@@lepidoptera9337 Oh, please don't call me names. You hurt my feelings.
@@guestaug6539 I thought you are proud to be proletariat? Or are you more jealous because you didn't manage to become bourgeois? :-)

It's NOT NATURAL to rip bats from their home caves to hack them up in live markets. Nothing, Dr. Sachs, is further from "natural" than what humans globally impose upon wild life. Bad enough we took wild animals thousands of years ago and turned them into manufactured creatures through science, genetics, biotechnology to create the absurdity we call beef cows, dairy cows, broiler chickens, farm pigs, etc... Nothing natural about this and our disease of the body, mind, environment and social disorders are consequences! If I walk into the jungle and come upon an animal that bites me if I obtain a virus, that might be construed as natural. Removing animals from THEIR habitats to cut them into pieces in wet markets or on factory farms and the word natural is contradictory.
sustainable, definition kill off the useless eaters
How can anyone say we were "blessed" to have fossil fuels when its the second largest cause of ecocide, second only to animal agriculture, the deformed concept of sentient living beings reduced to imprisoned, enslaved commodities! AND he completely ignores the far more deadly GHG methane from animal agriculture, 27% more potent than Co2! PLEASE discuss how failed is our food system. Plant-based proteins are the cure for so many problems!
Animal Agriculture is the most obscene, unhealthy, immoral, contradictory food/farming/agriculture matrix. We feed 80 BILLION farmed animals kept in horror, hell, unleashing these viruses being treated, never prevented! Dr. Sachs needs to know that were it not for this warped concept of food, we'd not be in this mess or by the way, have all the degenerative diseases eating animals and animal "products" result in. 80 BILLION sentient beings born for slaughter in hell, another form of slavery by a dominant species living its own moral, legal, religious, political schizophrenia. The LEAST we should do is eat from the garden, the real medicine we have to thrive on. The animals are suffering unmitigated violence, It's sick.
💐👍
Climate crisis is a global threat that must be met by global cooperation. Yet mainstream media is dividing rather than unifying countries. Let everyone in all stations of life works towards peace. among countries to met this common threat to humanity.
The planet will survive very well without us. Unfortunately, what we're trying to save is humanity and remnants of our civilization. Here in the US, the Pandemic is pointing out and stressing the deficits of US Society while the Climate Crisis is showing us the severe weaknesses of all human civilization.
