The goal post will move and the voters will select winners way before the season starts based on popularity. AD is clearly the best defender in the league and there will be so many people 50 years from now who will never know and that’s the biggest tragedy.

Nah AD is just not as good of a defender as everybody says. His DWS, DBPM, and on - off shows that he simply isn't in the same tier as those like Gobert. In the season where he finished 2nd in DPOY voting, the defense was marginally better with him on, and this last season, their defense was significantly better with him off
