Shonaquip Social Enterprise (SSE) is a hybrid social enterprise consisting of Shonaquip (PTY)Ltd, Uhambo Foundation (NPC) and the Champions of Change Trust. Together we share a joint objective of creating inclusive, barrier-free communities for children with disabilities and their families. Our teams offer support and skills building programmes across to government and private therapists, teachers, parents and community members across South Africa in the areas of disability awareness, psychosocial, posture support and seating, inclusive education, parent empowerment, research and advocacy.
ShonaquipSE Rural Transporter - First Last Mile FINAL
The Rural Transporter meets an important need in the lives of people with limited mobility. Whether from age, ailments or disability rugged rural type terrain can pose an insurmountable problem leaving people stuck in their homes unable to access health care services or interact with friends and families. Operated by two trained porters the Rural Transporter is an important mobility tool in helping these people access public transport and enabling them to get back out into the world.

The ShonaquipSE app is a free educational and resource app. With the appropriate assistive device, knowledge to make informed choices and an agency to action them, a family of a child with a disability will never need to experience their child as less valued. This app can be used to link to various resources and tools of the Shonaquip Social Enterprise.
