Metals are tough. Bitcoin at the cash register, not so common, but on the internet, yes. On the street also, in other words drug dealers and bookies take it. I’m far from an expert, but you can transfer it person to person with little or no fee. So it’s very usable. You can buy some cars with it. As far as Walmart goes, since basically no one really makes a profit off it like credit cards do, no one is pushing it on stores.

I don't know how deep you are into prepping now, but my goal is to practically need nothing for at least six months, this includes food, power water ect...I'm working a lot harder on food production, mostly on the veggies, I already produce a lot of calorie dense foods.

That road goes both ways. 1. 90% of my "money" is in the bank. I never gave them cash, it was transferred there digitally, from my employer. The cash isnt actually there. So "cash" is kind of in that bucket now. 2. The last power failure we had ... i actually couldnt use the cash i had at a few places. They couldnt open the register at one place. Another couldnt or wouldnt sell(a major chain) without the wifi talking to the satellite ...it couldnt get the prices because theyre all digitally in the cloud. take home message ... we are already digital and have been for a while.

I'd say Bitcoin is close to the top. Stocks too. Where you gonna put the money then? I'd go for cash or government bonds, then buy a good global stock index and gold AFTER the coming crash.

Bitcoin is the only commodity on earth with a completely inelastic supply. Everything else in the world can see supply increases as demand increases. Do the math here. Could the bitcoin/USD exchange rate fall a bit? Yes, it can. But if the whole world decided to pull their heads out of their bums and start thinking rationally could the price of bitcoin shoot up over a million USD? Yes, it can.
