It was good until the last episode for me. 1. Why did that psychic creature the dude was inside shrink when he was outside of it at the end. We saw how big it got when he was feeding it so why did it shrink. 2. How did levis offspring get on the ship the lady stole.

I just happened across this and "Gary and His Demons" somehow but I am glad I did. I enjoyed it very much and I hope they do a Season 2. Thanks for posting. 😉

good production but really too woke for me, why white male are bad or stupid ? Strong & clever women ok ! but to have strong men character is important especially in hostile natural environment !? Why men and women they do not work together !? for a better tomorrow… No ! white men must betray, kill or lose his head, we live in a strange time…

I loved Pantheon SO much, I think it's my favorite show of all time now. Every character is given so much love and attention and nuance, even awful people like Renee and Pope. Caspian and Maddie are true gems of character writing, and I love their relationship as much as it breaks my heart too. What's really great about those two is that they're not only fantastic characters alone, but that their character arcs twine together and answer each other, especially there at the end. Maddie's arc being about grief and the conflict between progress and nostalgia within that--the question of whether to move on or hold on. And Caspian's arc being about identity and the question of free will vs predestination. There at the ending, in Maddie's dyson sphere, they become the answers to each other's character arcs: Maddie isn't free of grief, but she gets to move on to a new life while still holding on to Caspian and the future they missed out on together, while Caspian choosing to wipe his memory and join her asserts a confidence that, even if they're starting over in the same place, his choices will still get to be his own, and there's no way to know for certain how it'll turn out. If that's not the most beautiful writing ever, then man I don't know what is. Like, that is some true love right there!! Man. My only wish for the series that they didn't touch on was that I wanted to see Caspian and Dave interact for more than five seconds. Like that is already such a complex relationship, Caspian having fathered this kid he never knew about, the complicated feelings he must have about parenthood given his own nightmare of an upbringing, and being two years younger than your own kid? WILD. I wanted a moment where those two could talk and connect, I wish we could've gotten that.

I wonder whether Pantheon is us watching the recreated simulation dictated by Maddie or, is the original, first timeline where this happens, because how does David reach out to Caspain without Maddie interfering. Or is this Maddie trying to recreate a timeline closest to hers to re-live, in which she does at the end of the show.

Moebious Style!

The best new piece of science fiction I’ve encountered on streaming in years. Pros Story, world building, plot, pacing, dialog (minimalistic), characters, motivations Cons The only 2 cons were, in one or two later episodes, some of the characters catch a case of the Prometheus’s… meaning they act uncharacteristically stupid. Fortunately it doesn’t last and is only jarring because, up until this point, the characters had acted as intelligently as one would expect spacefarers to act. Also, it does kind of make sense within the scope of the story, but it’s a little plot convenient. The 2nd (kind of) con is the art style. It is *not* bad, but definitely isn’t a strong point. But the innovative creature designs and animation go a LONG way to covering the is up. Overall… this series is tv gold! Simply amazing! Also… Sam = Moses… he sees the promised land (Demeter), helped to usher Ursula there and finally passed.

This was a fantastic show but my only criticisms is why does it have to be woke?

People might also want to take a look at a French animated film from the early 70s, "Fantastic Planet", for further comparison fodder.

Wellll...maybe not a 'masterclass', but pretty decent and fairly original. Still, there seemed to be a lot of holes and peculiar situations, but I do understand that money and time constraints are a big issue in producing a feature such as this. Waiting to see if we sharpen things up in further seasons.

Sam frustrated me so much that entire series, he seemed to constantly jeopardize Ursula’s safety but his ending was so heartbreaking and sad that it made so much sense that he would realize his own risk to her health

Just finished it, absolutely loved it.. the kind of story I’ve been craving..

I think the reason the hollow didn’t kill azia is bcs it wanted to take over her too PLUS I think the writers wanted us to feel the fear of how big and fast and sturdy the hollow was. Showing the comparison of how large it was compared to one of the humans scared me enough, I was scared watching the rope scene like I was watching Jurassic park or something but worse.

26:26 You were wondering why Azie confronted Chris when they were crossing the river. One thing I noticed before they crossed the river was how Azie used the sticky sap… thing so they could all jump on the rocks without slipping. If you look closely when she applies the sap she puts significantly less of it on Chris’s shoes compared to her and Barrie’s. I think, had it not been for that rock Chris was able to latch onto Azie’s intent was to shove them off and let the river either kill her or separate them so Chris wouldn’t be able to get to the Demeter.

The only real plot contrivance that got my attention was the healing water... not that it was a thing at all... but that when the moss rash started to really take it toll on Azi, she just happened to stop at the exact place that had the cure... Despite the fact that they had been riding for miles at that point... but whatever it was literally my ONLY nit pick in an other wise brilliant story.

One of the few head scratchers i had was when the crew member who escapes the ship just somehow makes it days and days away from the ship and runs into the hollow and kaiman. That was the one spot i was like ummm.... Overall i liked it but didn't love the show but i would give a season 2 a chance.

Phenomenal once in a lifetime television season. I don't see how they could possibly replicate the same success in future seasons but I hope I'm wrong. The only thing that I didn't really understand fully and though could have been displayed clearer was the relationship between Kamen and the Psycic creature. I think the creature's main goal was simply to become the 'biggest' or 'strongest' and was intelligent to know that it could acheieve this using other lifeforms.. But what the hell was the absorption of Kamen all about? How was that benefitial for the creature? Why did the attempt at controlling Levi reduce it back to its weaker form?

Excellent review! BTW, Lost in Space (the original) and Star Trek sugar coated space exploration, and this may happen to us once we get out there!

I subscribed to Netflix just to see this show and it was WORTH IT!

The one thing that confused me is about the silent woman, She got there younger and got old in the planet showing the prolonged passed of time, or was she another explorer from a different ship that got stranded in Vesa as well. Perhaps the parasyte, if someone knows let me know.

this illustrates the problem, this show does something a bit different and it gets cancelled . i must confess i switched it of after about five minutes , i did this due to it invoking memory's yellow submarine when i was child and how that creeped me out ' but something about that 5 minutes made me return and im so happy i did , superb . i likee all of it but levi and his link to the eco system was was the most intriguing.

They cancel all their best shows, "Raised by wolves" was their top show, BAM canceled. I have a feeling it is politically motivated. Scavengers Reign is a straight up Masterpiece and i am very much a Critic of animations.
