Also, while i was in portland... i didn't have the intentions of making of a video there so a LOT of the videos are just "meh" point and shoot style. Anyways, thanks for everyone and all the new friends I'v...

      Spitting up oil out of the exhaust could be flooded with water in the oil. Sweeping past the rings as it sits for a very long time. As long as you have compression, spark, fuel and timing.. you got yourself an engine that will run. thanks for watching -Elijah

    Just a tip to help you, but the best way that I have found to clean the seat is to use the cut off tip of a q tip. Put it in a drill chuck. Put just a dab of car polish. Not compound, but polish. Whirl that q tip down on that seat for a minute or so. It will shine it good.

    • @ElijahMiniBikes
      @ElijahMiniBikes 5 місяців тому

      I still have the mower to this day. It leaks a little because of the seat and the sealing isn't all that great. Runs good though. i have to put a shutoff valve before the carburetor when ever i turn the engine off or it will flood the engine with gas.

    • @ElijahMiniBikes
      @ElijahMiniBikes 6 місяців тому

      i still have this one and mow around my camper with it. starts on the third pull most times. the seal on the needle for the float doesnt seal so it will leak fuel eventually. it has a shut off valve in the fuel line to prevent flooding the engine when the engine is turned off.

    I have one like that I bought from Walmart in the 80s Didn’t get used much and sat for over fifteen years under a shed. I got it running about four years ago,ran great and the engine stop cable broke. I am having a problem finding the cable as the model number of the mower 2254?X92C does not show up in any parts searches. The steel cable is about 38” and the outer conduit is about 42” and it has a Z bend at the engine end and a T at the operator end.

      Eh, I don’t know about “they would like to have it again” part. I have a few newer mowers the same size that are way lighter and easier to push around or to be picked up into a bed of a truck. This is definitely a solid piece of machinery and it’s not going away any time soon. But if I’m going to be mowing up and down hills, I would like to have something that has self propelled.

    I've noticed nobody ever has anything good to say about the Ghost. Seems like a fine engine to me. They are made by Tillotson I've heard. What does that front pully do the Torquezilla or whatever it is? They say it won't help a governed engine, I get that but how does it behave after it engages? Does it shift real slow, keep the rpms up? Hope not, I have one haven't put it on. I got it because I'm tired of the stock driver locking up at the worst possible time

    • @ElijahMiniBikes
      @ElijahMiniBikes 11 місяців тому

      The Ghost is made by Ducar. Expensive for what it is, that’s why no one really appreciates them. $300 for an engine that’s not ready out of the box. Still needs an exhaust, fuel tank, air filter and throttle cable to function properly. It’s a classed engine. It’s meant to be dropped into go karts for karts to have equal power so there’s no cheaters in races. The Torkzilla or Juggs are a super series version of the standard 30 series. You can put them on a stock engine but you won’t get the same performance you thought you would expect. The over drive gear ratio is much smaller vs what it is on a standard series clutch. They’re intended for engines to Rev up to their better powerband to make better power. If it’s going on a stock engine, it will go slower than what it had before. The standard 30 series you have to do maintenance on frequently to keep them working properly. Just as you would with a chained Centrifugal clutch. If you don’t, they tend to stick and not be fluid throughout their variable ratios.

It does fine up to 20 and then starts slipping, engine is revving, it wants to go even governed this engine goes up to 4500 rpm. I have a tach. Weird
