    Its cool that you started a golf brand, however the price for this shoe is fairly pricey for a new brand. I could probably go for a safer option and go with footjoys. If you lower the costs of the shoe then I would be more interested into buying these. Anyways, good luck!

    The logo is a big miss imo. I wouldn't want to wear that unless i was in my gym. Even if the shoe was a 10/10 the logo deters me from buying it. It would be nicer if it just said phantom vs having the logo.

    Actually want to add, it's INSANE how important arm structure is and I literally see no one talking about it. Improving my arm structure has probably been one of the highest ROI things I've done to my golf swing. It's finally making sense why you watch PGA Tour pros practice and most of the time they're working on structure, because it's that important.

  • @iiZAPPx
    @iiZAPPx Місяць тому

    Your comment about your swing needing to be objectively functional and good is so true. I don't know. I'd never criticize you for chasing goals that are objectively good because of how the structure benefits you. Some people are turned off by your attitude, one of which isn't even a bad one. Misery loves company and many people leave passions and hobbies behind and forget how to be just a little but "crazy" or a headcase about something they love etc. I think you're awesome for documenting your stuff. It's inspired my own ideas for potentially doing my own thing next year, but for the simple fact that I think I'll look back on it all and be able to enjoy where I was with my game and the passion I had for it at this time of my life. You aren't doing a damn thing wrong, and you've shown others you have a willingness to learn from others and not think that your way is the only way...and even with THAT you don't owe anyone jack sh** with how you go about your business. Respect you and appreciate you for what you TRY to do for us

    I totally get the tinkering and that the golf swing is not a permanent thing. Even when you “get it”, you don’t get to keep it. You start to try to get back to it, but you can’t get it back, so you have to find something new again. I do think you hit (or have hit) the ball really well and have the speed to compete. But, only you can say if you “feel” comfortable making a motion. Structure may not be for everyone. Vijay and Phil are just 2 amongst many legendary flippers. Especially if as you say, you have a natural talent in the release you had. Unless there was a health issue, I wouldn’t just make the change for structure’s sake. I get that you want to see it through, and there is benefit to seeing what the ceiling can be with this new swing. Outside of the “Golf Swing”, do you think you’ve pursued as much improvement? For example, green reading and putting strategy (something like Aimpoint or TourRead), course management and expectation management (something like Practical Golf or DECADE), short game (playing with AoA, Dynamic loft, and speed to create different flights, rollouts, and spin). From a club delivery perspective (not the body), what about the Trackman / Quad delivery numbers were you not liking? The golf ball ultimately only cares about the club numbers at delivery, not what your body connection is. Maybe you have, but I don’t see as much of that on the channel. So, I don’t know. In any case, I hope you see this as a constructive comment. I am a fan, and enjoy your content. The journey is important. Cheers

    Interesting response tbh. Sounds like most of what I said was already addressed a few months back when you made the tough decisions etc. Only thing I'll really say is scores DOES matter. I know you're going through changes, etc but there should come a point where the score does drop. And I say that because sometimes in golf, it's easy to get hooked on the process and to rationalize bad scores, due to "changes" but even after a long period of time, the scores don't really change. I won't use myself as an example but I will use some pga tour players. Luke Donald was world #1 with a relatively slow swing, he's since tried to add speed to his swing and basically ruined his game. Michael Kim was world number 1 amateur, he was inside, flippy and then he got on tour and tried to change to a fade and lost his game. My point is, these 2 pga tour pros, they were also committed to the process but the results never showed, in your case, I would expect scores to eventually drop. If you're still shooting mid 80s and even high 70's at the end of the year, I wouldn't stick with what you are doing (providing you are actually working hard to make the changes, and not half-assing it which I'm sure you aren't.) Anyway, good video, looking forward to seeing the future results, cheers man.

    Youre missing key things here. You made a lot of bogeys because of bad short game + bad bunker play. But why are you missing greens in the first place? This is what people don’t understand about the game, they look and go “oh its my short game.” Yeah but youre short siding yourself and you’re missing greens. And then you lie to yourself and say you hit the ball well. Well if you hit the ball well, why were you missing greens? Im not trying to be a dick, im trying to point out how golf stats can mislead you.

    • @GabeGallucciGolf
      @GabeGallucciGolf Місяць тому

      @@projectfiveunder you’re not wrong, I think one thing I may not have made overly clear is that I’m switching to a draw right now after hitting a fade exclusively for the past few years. As a result sometimes my targets are a bit off as I’m learning how to “see” a draw + find my aim. This has led to an increase in some short misses just off the green. Also, my short game technique has taken a total dive lately with all these changes and it has been horrific so even really close chips have brought bogey into play. I had a lesson yesterday and I was just doing way too much. Much more simpler motion now that I’m hoping will translate. I appreciate the comment!

    • @projectfiveunder
      @projectfiveunder Місяць тому

      @@GabeGallucciGolf You change your equipment every other week, I think this attitude is reflected in your swings too. Why did you switch from a fade to a draw? Fades are perfectly fine. Just seems you're always changing things without any solid reason why. I understand working on your swing, etc. But if you've been working with coaches, and you say "for me to get to the level I want to be, I need a pro swing." Then why wasn't a pro swing priority in the first place and what were you working on before, were you just bandaid fixing stuff the past few years? Also, I'm not sure if you've done this but you should go to some PGA Tour/Korn Ferry/Canadian Tour events and watch the guys swing and hit the ball, you're going to see a lot of weird swings that execute well. It just seems like you have a lot of work ethic, but you're constantly shifting directions and it doesn't really seem to be working out. You shouldn't really be shooting high 80's. If I were you, I'd probably fire the guys that you're currently working with, and go find a coach who has coached top level players and who's ideas you like. And I think you've probably felt this but you probably get sold easily on transformation and working on things plus they're probably your friends, but the results aren't there. And I know this comment has been overall negative, but I'll end it positive. I do think you can turn pro, you have the thing that most people have (and you can't teach) which is work ethic, it just needs to be directed in the right direction, in the SAME direction, consistently and you'll start to see results.
