BUILDING A SHELTER WITH ICE - Can it Keep me warm through the night?
Переглядів 1,6 тис.2 місяці тому
Building a shelter using ice blocks and snow. Its almost spring, and the temps are around 0 degree Celsius during the day. At night it gets down to -12C. I choose the windiest spot on the beach so the shelter has to be properly done. I do not have much time, as the days are still short. Lets see if it was worth it, or if I instead built something simpler with the tarp?

    Wow! Great Ice House! You put a lot of hardlifting into the building. But, it looks solid and would be a safe shelter during winter months. I like that it was different then anyother winter shelter I've seen built. Do able by anyone. God bless you and yours. Nora

    Rotten wood is not good for a long fire, it is good for starting a fire 🔥 nothing more, in the woods you do not have to spend so much energy cutting with sticks, you can also make a bonfire and even better, more heat 🔥

    Snow 🌨 is not for playing explorer and that's not even if there weren't so many good saws, she chooses a giant one and the shelter is a lousy shelter

    Where is this ? Can one just bring down big trees/"branches ", just like this ? In Norway, a lot of areas IS owned by someone . We have the right to rome free,(allemannsretten), but we have to leave it as we came. So ,exactly what are the rules ? F ex , in sweden,norway,finland (do "free to rome" invclude finland,even? )?

    I WILL KEEP COMPLAINING TILL THERE IS REGULATIONS and limit how many video's each account can post so you all act responsibly with OUR ENVIRONMENT. There are plenty other ways you can earn cash and have fun, a sensless waste of living branches.

    • @Nordic_Ventures
      @Nordic_Ventures 3 місяці тому

      Bro, if you watched the video. You would see the branches are from a fallen tree. Now, at that location, there are 0 trees because the landowner cut them all down. Complain against them instead. They do it only for profit.

    • @thethoughtmaster
      @thethoughtmaster 3 місяці тому

      @@Nordic_Ventures I knew you would say that but the roots are feeding the tree. We must be aware of the dangers of video logging, if not we could lose our forests. Try not to be wasteful, it's not a emergency, you are there for fun.

    Beautiful, heart-warming. Interesting to know how much time to complete his shelter. What he used for ground insulation. What he did to get the most heat into shelter rather than escaping into the cold air.

    Вы плохой выживальщики. У вас маленький костёр и мало дров. Первым делом надо собирать много дров, потом строить жилье. В костёр нужно плодить толстые бревна, чтоб горели долго и давали много тепла.

    I can understand trying to rough out, and if I was younger I might try it once, but there is a lot of waste, and afterwards when it gets dry, it can contribute to burning easily around careless campers who because of their inexperience start fires, that burn out of control. The firewood that you need to gather to last you the entire time that you are there is a considerable amount! By the time you are finished prepsring your Shelter must be exhausting! I kind of envy you, and can appreciate your efforts!
