BUILDING A SHELTER WITH ICE - Can it Keep me warm through the night?
Building a shelter using ice blocks and snow. Its almost spring, and the temps are around 0 degree Celsius during the day. At night it gets down to -12C. I choose the windiest spot on the beach so the shelter has to be properly done. I do not have much time, as the days are still short. Lets see if it was worth it, or if I instead built something simpler with the tarp?

The snow is cold, isn't it?
Wow! Great Ice House! You put a lot of hardlifting into the building. But, it looks solid and would be a safe shelter during winter months. I like that it was different then anyother winter shelter I've seen built. Do able by anyone. God bless you and yours. Nora
are you Alex brother
Not every body Carrie that much stuff why not show build a shelter with out all the tools and stuff u have and food like u got show if a hiker or person lost like a hunter
Rotten wood is not good for a long fire, it is good for starting a fire 🔥 nothing more, in the woods you do not have to spend so much energy cutting with sticks, you can also make a bonfire and even better, more heat 🔥
Snow 🌨 is not for playing explorer and that's not even if there weren't so many good saws, she chooses a giant one and the shelter is a lousy shelter
Nothing new tuck up in some twiggs survive a night! This is more of can I wait out till morning. If you think taking a steak in the woods and doing this is survival your in for a huge surprise
I noticed you know Lucas, both of you have great content.
Your videos are great, keep up the good content.
Smaller bow saw would have been easier for you bud.
Gergajinya terlalu panjang , bro
I certainly hope you brought a lot of calories with you.. now put a tarp over it so it will stop the wind.,
That was hard work! Those were huge chunks of ice, were they from spring breakup on the water? All the best from Scotland, UK
Nice
That looked like a lot of fun. Next time build a fire
Great video!!
Where is this ? Can one just bring down big trees/"branches ", just like this ? In Norway, a lot of areas IS owned by someone . We have the right to rome free,(allemannsretten), but we have to leave it as we came. So ,exactly what are the rules ? F ex , in sweden, norway, finland (do "free to rome" invclude finland, even? )?
Very cool !😍😉🇺🇸🙏
This is NOT LUKAS OR HIS BROTHER!!!!
I WILL KEEP COMPLAINING TILL THERE IS REGULATIONS and limit how many video's each account can post so you all act responsibly with OUR ENVIRONMENT. There are plenty other ways you can earn cash and have fun, a sensless waste of living branches.
Bro, if you watched the video. You would see the branches are from a fallen tree. Now, at that location, there are 0 trees because the landowner cut them all down. Complain against them instead. They do it only for profit.
@@Nordic_Ventures I knew you would say that but the roots are feeding the tree. We must be aware of the dangers of video logging, if not we could lose our forests. Try not to be wasteful, it's not a emergency, you are there for fun.
Steak looks good
Beautiful, heart-warming. Interesting to know how much time to complete his shelter. What he used for ground insulation. What he did to get the most heat into shelter rather than escaping into the cold air.
…seems like all we mostly saw was you sawing most of this video
I can understand trying to rough out, and if I was younger I might try it once, but there is a lot of waste, and afterwards when it gets dry, it can contribute to burning easily around careless campers who because of their inexperience start fires, that burn out of control. The firewood that you need to gather to last you the entire time that you are there is a considerable amount! By the time you are finished prepsring your Shelter must be exhausting! I kind of envy you, and can appreciate your efforts!
No audio thumbs down apologies
How about some pine needle tea?
WOW. How long B4 the sparks from fire ignite the shelter made of twigs and set the boy on fire like a marshmallow. And really,? A box of matches? What happens if wind, rain etc?
making shelter with only small branches, it was an easy way to set up!
Maybe if you cover more your "twigloo", you can protect of even a killing asteroid lol!! And you definetely must learn how coocking this brick of meat lol!! Here at the very south we generaly cook something like that above the flames of a good fire, and not at side and far like you did!! But was a good video, you have a lot of work so thank you and aprecieate the images of snow and nature and your efforts seams great!! Thank you and hugs from south america, you honor our "Gaúcho" people, if you search you will know what it's for!! I will subscribe to watch for of this efforts and beutifuls views!! :))
The snow is very cold❤️
nice shelter
What a great temporary shelter, man

Poor shelter location... I hope this vid isn't used as anything instructional in terms of survival..
Am I the only person who questions the size of the saw? Unwieldy.
Bet you don't bring that saw on your next campout...😅
Nice building this shelter, great job 🌲👍
