Good grief. When reversing,use the bloody wing mirrors! That's what they're for I learnt to drive from the age of 11, first a quad bike and then up to tractors on the family farm. It gave me the confidence I needed to control a vehicle properly. My parents employed a driving instructor to enable me to get my licence. The people who are on this program have one thing in common.....no self confidence , coupled with no idea of how to pilot a motor vehicle. It staggered me that all of them had full UK licences. BTW, I'd love this show to do a few episodes in new Zealand, jeepers creepers the judges would need a healthy mixture of Valium and gin by the time they finished one episode. The level of driver ability in new Zealand would shock them .abysmal, woeful and totally inadequate and inept would be a euphemistic way of describing over half of all drivers here. No care and no responsibility is paramount in the psyche of drivers here, and it's always somebody else's fault when the brown stuff hits the revolving blades. I've got my defensive driving licence on top of my normal one, I've raced cars for 30 years and yes, even I've been prone to the occasional bout of stupidity. Are their some people who should never attempt to get behind the wheel? Yes. Driving a motor vehicle isn't a god given right. It has to be learnt. Why all this "neutral gear!" from Quentin when they stall. Completely unnecessary. Just keep your foot down on the clutch and select first to then move away. Becky's mum from the first series kept telling her "handbrake neutral" as well when she stalled. Really got on my wick!

For the people who know they cant drive and live with people who can, I don't understand why they insist on driving. My mom knew that her driving capabilities were compromised because her vision was degrading, even though she still had a license, but she chose not to drive because she knew she shouldn't and my dad could drive.
