LB and LA are among the U.S. ports that use some automation, but neither is all automated - as there are a significant number of dockworkers at each facility. @mathanjio7892 Thanks for your question! In short, MercuryGate's dynamic rule sets (DRS) allow for trigger-based automation. They're pre-installed, but can be configured to your particular needs. Based on your question, the main issue is to have a system that allows you to have a hierarchy by each location within your network and handle both LTL and TL. Now that the main issue you're trying to solve is determined, it's time to start thinking about other items that you may want in your TMS system. Please download our TMS RFP template from our website here: www.intekfreight-logistics.com/transportation-management-software-tms-rfp-template. The template will help you think of the other areas that you may be interested in for a TMS. Some items could be contracts, rating, carrier management, EDI integrations, integration with an ERP or financial software, reporting capabilities.
