I have the original album from 68 which after several thousand spins over the years still plays without a skip, figured i should get the CD to preserve this great album but i won't buy anything new as i prefer the original. I will say thanks for having to wait in the rain but to anyone that doesn't already know this album i would say listen as you are in for a treat.

Love this album, the live version of "Spoonful" is one of the first live jams I've ever heard that completely blew my mind! Thanks for the upload and the awesome video.

I have an unanswered question about this particular walkman: how do you set the tape type?? There are no buttons or displays regarding this. Does this walkman automatically set the tape type (normal/chrome/metal)? Where in the walkman do you know hat the machine is set form the proper tape type??????

The old type 1s were not good but became better and better over the years so did chromes. In the 70s both types had disavantages,that's why type 3 came arround but disappeared when ferro and chrome cassettes improved. Metal tapes are the best but were a bit expensive. In the 80s and 90s, 90% i bought were chromes. Only ferro tapes i bought in the 80s were Fuji Dr's that sounded good on my deck. Most tapes are SA,XL2,UX,UXS, sure other brands sounded good too.Have some SKC's QX and they sound good too. About these tapes....i wanted to buy 10 cassettes and ask the seller a box thinking it contained 10 cassettes but after returning to my home i discovered there were 12 cassette in the SKC box. strange the seller didn't tell me, must have been convinced there were 10 cassettes in the box too.

Some colectors open casettes without damaging foil.

99% of tapes are type 1 and they sound absolutely fine unless you're at the very high end of audio

I found that Type II tapes are the best in most situations. To me, the addition cost of Type IV tapes is not worth it. One unofficial type of tape to mention is Type 0. These are the extremely cheap tapes that you'd often find in a three-pack without cases in non-audio stores. Basically, they're low quality (I'd heard that some used video tape) and could potentially damage your deck/player. Once I found out about them I only used name-brand tapes.

E claro como gosto muito dessa tecnologia e desses rádios portatil Sony Walkman,sou muito firme em dizer que alguns são mais bonitos. Os digitais sempre são mais caros. Chrome cassettes were my go to, TDK, FUJI, SONY. Dub a CD over on Dolby C sounded great. I had some metal ones but they were too expensive.
