Hi, I'm Savione Wright, I help career professionals successfully transition into program management.
Use the little time you do have | My time management AHAA moment
In this video, I share my journey of overcoming time management challenges and finding consistency in my UA-cam content. I reflect on how spending too much time on non-essential tasks, like perfecting edits, prevented me from producing videos regularly. A conversation with my wife helped me realize the power of prioritizing needle-moving tasks that truly drive progress. Whether you're growing a UA-cam channel, a side hustle, or your business, this insight will resonate with you. Let’s explore how to focus on what really matters and work smarter, not harder.

What to do in college if you want to work in tech
I really appreciate this video I too have been procrastinating on starting I’m not consistent and I’m a perfectionist but watching you keep at it is inspiring God bless your channel I liked and I’m subscribing for the value you just gave me👍🏽don’t give up
Thank you so much for your kind words! I totally understand the struggle with procrastination and perfectionism - it’s something I’m still growing through. I’m glad the video inspired you, and I’m grateful for your support. Keep pushing through, even if it’s just small steps. You’ve got this, and we’re all in this journey together! 🙌 Don’t hesitate to reach out if you ever need encouragement or just would like to chat. Let’s keep going!
growing quickly it’s 140 now ✨
I just hit 100 yesterday! Was thinking about making a vid like this🎉
Big congrats on 100 subs!! 🥳Please make the vid. It’s definitely worth celebrating this milestone with the community you’ve built up to this point. Plus you’ll always have it to look back on as you and your channel continues to grow. I’ll be waiting for it!
@@savionewright Yeah I’ve been making content since 2017, and I’ve put in so much effort into every video and it’s nice to see even tho it’s only 100, that I still got somewhere with it in some way.
100% agree, when I clock out of work the last thing I want to do is cut clips up for an hour or write a script - Once I get past that though and start grinding it makes me feel so much more fulfilled than if I was just to watch youtube or game for the rest of the evening!
I definitely know the feeling - starting is always the hardest part. I’ve found that setting aside 1-2 hour blocks on specific days for content creation works better than trying to fit it in daily. The progress is really what matters at the end of the day though, let’s keep going!
FACTS!!
Congratulations 🎉❤!! High five 🙌🏽 As a new UA-camr - I can completely relate! Full steam ahead!
Thank you so much! High five right back! 🙌 It’s been a journey, but I’m excited to keep moving forward. How’s your UA-cam journey going so far?
@@savionewright it’s definitely a journey. But I’m excited that I’m learning new things.
Ayyy congrats man that’s big!

Amazing 🔥🔥 Great insight!
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you for watching!
Thank you for sharing
I appreciate you for watching!
Hey! that's some good insight. I want to know as you're in the web dev product team, do you think that you need coding experience to do your job well? or if one excels in knowing the customer, knowing how to do feature prioritization, how to segment market, how to do competitor analysis then that's enough?
Hey @rishavchatterjee8713, I’m glad you found the video useful! No, I don’t think one needs coding experience to do my job well. I will say it’s important to have a basic understanding of various coding languages and their use cases just so you can effectively communicate with your engineering team. Also the need for technical expertise as a PM can vary from company to company and job descriptions should articulate the skills that team is looking for. The three things you mentioned are needed as well but I’d also add being able to influence without authority, negotiation, communication competence, and bringing your dev team and leadership team along the development journey through the use of status updates and check-ins as very important soft skills as well. In all I’d say as a PM I rely more heavily on my soft skills than I do my technical skills but I’m thankful that I get to improve my technical skills while on the job and if you feel like you aren’t the most technical right now you can do the same. I hope that helps, thanks again!
Hey Savione, I really enjoyed watching the entire video. Im a college student currently and have discovered careers in product management. I would love to schedule a quick interview with you so I can get to know more about your career and its ins and outs. Thank you for the opportunity and great video.
Hey @eytang.38! Thanks for taking the time to watch the video, I’m glad you found it helpful. As for the interview, let’s do it! Email me at savione.wright@gmail.com and let’s set it up. Thanks again!
I have two degree’s in technology IT associates in Computer Networking and a bachelor’s in Information Systems Security. And I got zero job offers zero Jobs Zero interviews zero experience zero everything. I graduated class of 2013. Degrees are definitely not the way to go. Experience and who you know are. The IT field was a no go for me but I wish you the best of luck.
Thank you for sharing your perspective. It’s clear that real-world experience and building a professional network are pivotal in the tech industry. I’ve also learned that sometimes our educational paths, like my bachelor’s in Physics, can take us in unexpected directions that eventually lead to success. Your insights remind us of the unique challenges we each face and the resilience needed to overcome them.
Keep it up, brother. I've been IT support for the past three years. Feels trapped and sees no way out of Support. God willing, I will get my Cybersecurity degree in June this year. This video has inspired me more than you could imagine.
Brother, I appreciate the support and I’m glad you found some inspiration from the vid. The journey through IT support can be challenging, but it sounds like you're on a great path with your cybersecurity degree on the horizon. Keep pushing forward, and best of luck with your studies and future career!
This is good! Thank you for sharing!!
Glad you found it valuable, let me know any other topics you'd be interested in!
Thanks for putting this together, I will share with my college friends. I will add that you can use you tube to build your skills such as searching for “what skills you need to be a UX project manager” and go from there. 👍🏼
